How long after your application status became "Your application is being reviewed" did you hear back? Status changed on the 7th.

Thanks!
I was accepted exactly 2 weeks after the status changed.

Where/what did it say prior to that? Mine in the status box only says the year, term, program. No status is listed.

Mine was like this, and then came back as under review and then was accepted 2 weeks after that.

I have begun to submit applications the last few days and BC is one of my alternate choices. I was very impressed by the admissions office however. They responded to my fee waiver solicitation in 7 minutes. To compare with BU, I emailed them 2 days ago and they haven't emailed me back yet. I will definitely apply to BC now.

Yeah, BU takes a little extra time. Every other place I solicited got back to me within 24 hours with a waiver, but BU took 4 days.

o man, has BC been playing with your feelings too?

Has anyone here been getting emails about the public service scholarship and about minority / pro bono experience at BC?

I think the reason why they might be sending me these emails is that they've definitely read my PS, which was all about my interest in PI. The odd thing is that I haven't been admitted yet, and they asked me to apply for this PI full tuition scholarship at BC. (A similar thing happened to me also at IU, encouraging me to apply for their minority schollys, and I havn't'en admitted yet.)

Is anyone here applying for PI full tuition scholarship at BC before having been admitted :?: (How do you make sense of this? Or is it nonsensical? btw I don't want to spend my time applying for schollys at various schools if I'm gonna get rejected..What is everyone else doing? I've also heard that it's easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than receive BC's PI full tuition scholly.)

Thanks in advance for your thoughts on this.

I do not know if this is helpful at all, but my ps was somewhat about minority / pro bono stuff and my background is in it -- and I got the email too. BC is becoming an increasingly more serious option for me as my applications come to a close. I was accepted in December. So I am really considering applying for the scholarship, it couldn't hurt and the money would be wonderful. But I don't know, like you said, it's really hard to get a full scholarship and well, my experience / passion for what the scholarship they are asking for really isn't there.

I'm right there with you. I'm interested in entrepreneurship and they sent me an email about how their students get to interact with a bunch of startup companies and all this other information.

I bet that they have a system that checks for key words in our PS and then generates an email. I'm sure that's not hard for them to set up and execute, as much as I want to be hopeful that some human is actually clicking the button to submit us to one pool of email recipients vs another.

Does having the first deposit and second deposit on the status checker mean anything even if my status hasn't changed? (It actually does not state under review or complete or anything, just blank but it should most definitely be complete). This also goes for potentially other schools.

Yea, you guys are on crack with your speculation about this. I received all the above emails and I have indicated no inclination towards any sort of specific law field. I highly doubt they have some highly integrated program, scanning your application for keywords, to send you only certain emails

I'd like to think it would hint at the liklihood of acceptance but that's probably not the case.

Hey folks,
Do you guys also have the "1st deposit, 2nd deposit" boxes under the bottom left box on your status checker?

I honestly am having trouble keeping track of which status checker looks like what at this point :)
