Considering no one's been admitted RD yet this cycle, I think it's hard to say.
The earliest people (UR2 12/8) will probably hear back late next week and everybody else will have to wait until after the holidays. Just my guess based on last year's cycle:

Also does anyone know what the procedure is for withdrawing applications from other schools. Do we just send an email to those schools and when are we supposed to do it?

And soon, since you're bound. If you let other schools keep considering you, you may displace someone else during the admissions process.

Actually I've been admitted RD. I went complete on 10/24 under review 2 on 11/25 and heard back 12/10. So if that gives anyone a frame of reference...

Yes but I don't think I followed the guidelines exactly - but it looks like they didn't care that much about the particulars

So it's more like that they care about whether you have written it?

Congrats to the new ED admits! I got in ED one year ago give or take a day. Though I'm pretty miserable right now - currently cramming for my civ pro final at 3:18 am here on the east coast - I'd rather be nowhere else than Penn. Good luck all!

Went UCR2 on 12/11. Is there any data from previous cycles that would suggest I should assume a second UCR is a good sign? Did rejected applicants from previous years have a date change in their status checker? My assumption would be that rejected applicants don't get a second review. I may be wrong though!

Quote from the Status Checker once you go under review: "The Admissions Committee is committed to a holistic review of every application. Thus, it is the policy of the Admissions Committee that every file be reviewed by at least two members of the Committee"

Thanks for the good luck wishes! I hope your finals went well. Just FYI you were quoted on page 10 ITT for posterity.

yeah, the guy who reported an RD acceptance was trolling, for whatever weird reason
(also, whatever poster told me about the existence of twitter notifications... yikes, this'll be the death of me, haha)

Can confirm was not a troll. Also, I thought no other RD was under anything but Committee Review?
idk personally I choose to believe the admissions office itself over two posters, but maybe.
