everyone who got accepted got it at the beginning of the day status change right? I doubt checking more than once per day is likely to yield anything (not that I expect anyone to actually do that since loltls)

My feelings is it only updates once a day. I checked at like 8am CT and it had changed. I doubt someone actually updated it at that point in time. It says last updated 11/4 but it doesnt provide a time, so I can't provide more detail than that.

It would go to the next day at midnight automatically. I am wondering whether it changes during the day if there is any movement on the decision.

I imagine that each day, the adcomms make updates to a subset of the applicants. Then, a batch file runs every night, and it refreshes the SC for every applicant with the most up-to-date status and current date.

Right?

A guy in the thread 2 years ago (really slow day at work...) created a program that texted TLSers when their status checkers were updated.

Are any of you EECS wizards going to throw that together for the rest of us??

I'm still complete after submitting on like 9/4 or so (went complete shortly after, forget exactly when). Just wanted to point out I checked the status checker at 7 AM EST before work today and it still had yesterday's date 11/4 as the as of date, so doesn't appear to update at midnight. It's 8:30 AM EST now and the date has refreshed to 11/5 so looks like it happens at some point between 7 and 8:30. Hope someone finds that useful.

I may or may not purposely stayed up until midnight to see if the date refreshes at 12...

I may or may not woke up at 3am and turned on computer to see if the decision had been made.

Ps. My status date has still not changed and says "11/4/2014".. Something is going to happen?
