My app went complete November 13th. (And if numbers help: LSAT > 75%, GPA = 25%.)ElizabethKB wrote:Mind sharing your complete date?

Missed a call from Yale like 30 mins ago (stupid phone on silent). Called back and I'm in.
PM for stats. PM for anything.
ETA: I checked, it was 9:27 PM EST when I missed the call.
ETA2: I went complete 10/17 if that's helpful to anyone.

Does this mean you're going to change your avatar? No matter how many times I have seen it I can't get used to the blinkingxylocarp wrote:ahhh! not at all surprised, but super psyched for you, lc!

This is definitely a thing. Forget GPA updates; people should be submitting cat picture updates.xylocarp wrote:eta: I'm now 99% certain that kitten avatar --> HYS trifecta. spread the word

It's surprising how late Yale is working these days! I hope that means the cycle picks up some ^^ I don't know if the Yale emails are automated or not, but I got a complete email from them at 4:30AM EST. I'd think it was automated (because, I mean.. 4:30am) but then, why then?

Mine came at the same time -- it's probably a batch operation, and those are usually done overnight.altf4 wrote:It's surprising how late Yale is working these days! Changing to a cat avatar is enticing - it clearly has success. I just feel like my current avatar fits the username so well.

Getting ready to submit, having spent like 3 months on my 250.
Did you guys go with a list format or essay format for the post college activities section? I have about a year of work experience, so it won't be substantial either way.

I'm 1 year out as well, so I went with a paragraph format. I thought it connected the disparate dots of some of my experiences right after undergrad better than bullets did.omegaweapon wrote:Getting ready to submit, having spent like 3 months on my 250.

I did paragraph as well, also 3 months may have been a bit overkill.omegaweapon wrote:Getting ready to submit, having spent like 3 months on my 250.

Re: Yale c/o 2018 (2014-2015 Applicants)
I wrote mini-paragraphs since I have had a few jobs. I sort of saw it as an opportunity to summarize/characterize them in an interesting way (since, like, my resume has a list). I don't think it matters much either way.omegaweapon wrote:Getting ready to submit, having spent like 3 months on my 250.

250 took me forever too. Hope you're happy with the final product!
ETA buckeyeinbangkok already said what I was trying to say above way better. Oh well.

lc, congratulations!!
Also re: formatting. I think I did a bullet point list for my college activities (since I had like...7 jobs throughout school) and a short sentence or two for post-college (since I had just started my first post-graduation job not too long before applying).
