Nice, congrats!PN-G bamakid wrote:Just did all that and it turns out it's sitting on the delivery truck somewhere between the local facility and my house right now. How do I check to see if there's a FedEx package en route? I signed up for an account. Don't quite know what to do from there.

If you can't find it, you can also call - they have pretty good round the clock phone service.

Doesn't seem like it. I'm thinking it will be January before that happens.LWoodWDE wrote:Was accepted a few weeks ago. Anyone hear about scholarships yet?

Pretty sure you can't request after Dec. 1. Just submit your app and see if they ask you to interview.appind wrote:anyone know if one could still request an interview or after dec1 it's only vandy who would decide whether to invite?

I'm in the same boat. My last (only) update was in September, but if I eventually get in and didnt do the scholarship application, I would want to throw myself under a train, so essays it is.rebexness wrote:So if I am in the "utter silence for months" crew, should I bother filling out the Law Scholars essays?

If your interview is anything like mine was, it's chill as fuck. It's more of an opportunity to ask questions that you have than the other way around. The only two questions that you need to have an answer to are "why law" and "why vandy."imKMart wrote:Anyone who interview care to pm me the questions asked? Yea man, my interviewer legit told me it's basically to make sure you're not a total weirdo and would fit in with the student body. Just have a lot of questions about law/ Vandy ready to go and really know why you want Vanderbilt specifically.imKMart wrote:Anyone who interview care to pm me the questions asked? I'm assuming the scholarship committee will be looking at our LSMA applications alongside our applications for admission? And thus that it's okay for me to reference things on my resume?

Hypothetically, if someone with a 170+ and 4.0 applied in Feb, are they not eligible for scholarships for Vandy because they didn't complete the essays?

Feb is late, but only a few scholarships each year are actually dependent on the Law Scholars essays. You could still get a different merit scholarship w/o the essays.Iwanttolawschool wrote:Hypothetically, if someone with a 170+ and 4.0 applied in Feb, are they not eligible for scholarships for Vandy because they didn't complete the essays?

Yeah if you don't complete the essays you'll only be considered for a regular award. Someone with those numbers would get 110k in past cycles.hillz wrote:Feb is late, but only a few scholarships each year are actually dependent on the Law Scholars essays. Also, keep in mind that only 3 or 4 people get law scholars in any given year.
