For two schools now, I woke up in confusion to e-mails explaining the financial aid application form for each school, only then to scroll down and see I was accepted lol. International problems ahaha

So you need to fill out Need Access form to receive merit based scholarships? When should I fill them out?

This is very confusing, this American system, having had no experience of the States' educational institutions at all :(

I'm glad it's not just me who finds it confusing!

Hey everyone, just checking in... Chinese applicant, but went to a private LAC in the States.
I thought the wait for the LSAT score release was the worst part. Obviously I am wrong, since the wait for admission results is the real pain

ED In Michigan: Admitted 11/25, $$$ 1/7: Dean's Scholarship: 120k (isn't Michigan amazing or what?!)
NYU: rejected (of course)
Cornell: in via email, withdrew after admission to Michigan
WUSTL: in via email, 120k scholarship, withdrew after Michigan
GW: in via email, 120k scholarship, withdrew after Michigan.

Others were still pending when I withdrew.

I am so jealous of you. I just want to get over with this application process right now. Congratz on Michigan Law! I have been to Ann Arbor several times, and really liked the city.

Wait AA= African American?

You got rejected to NYU with a 169? As an AA URM you'd be very competitive, I thought.

Amazing that you ED to Michigan and still got a substantial scholly. Michigan rocks!

I take taptap is referring to his/her LSAC foreign transcript evaluation, where AA = Above Average

I'm still waiting on 9 out of my 13 applications (mostly sent out early November) after getting in at Cornell this week; did a couple of interviews this week with Columbia and Chicago so hopefully that'll generate some movement on those apps soon.

+1.

And at the same time sorting through the spam law school e-mails all at once because you're not sure if real decisions are mixed in with them.

Oh...those times....

I was literally checking Michigan's status checker at least 10 times a day when I was certain it updated only once a day... Hang in there people!

x 1000000

And even for the one acceptance I received so far, I was too delirious from suffering from food poisoning (over chritmas AND the new year's too, that bloody ovepriced sushi :x ) to realize what it was for like a day.

Me and my cell phone are sleeping in different rooms now after the emails from Valparaiso Law School have waken me up at 4 a.m., thrice.

Could we maybe get a new poll asking where everyone is from? I think continents would be easiest, however we could go into more depth with specific countries?

Yah know, I was going to ask that same question, because all the International applicants on this forum say they are woken up at 3~5 in the morning by emails from schools and that made me think everyone's in the same/similar timezone. Plus we all post when no others post.
