Basically says you've withdrawn from all other schools and are *officially* confirming you're entering the class

I called last week because I had not heard anything since early Feb when put on reserve. Received the offer to go on third reserve yesterday on 7/31. I accepted. I was never offered second reserve, meaning my app was probably skipped over or lost for a bit. Here's to further waiting.

Crazy that not only has there been no movement, but they're still sending out "join the 45th reserve" emails.

Also got that reserve email. Funny since 2015 cycle is just around the corner. I am withdrawing as well.

I haven't heard anything since the 3rd reserve email..
I live overseas, and snail mail not only takes a devastatingly long time, it often gets lost as well. If I receive a rejection letter, it'll probably be around Thanksgiving...

I wrote this a few weeks ago, but one of my friends got off the waitlist in June. I didn't ask his stats or anything. He just mentioned that he had been waitlisted but was offered a spot after about a month. He turned Columbia's offer down to accept a generous scholarship at the same school where I'm headed.

I doubt my friend is the only one to receive an offer, especially if he turned it down, but it seems like Columbia hasn't made very many waitlist offers this year.

My rejection is probably still being forwarded from my previous address... I may not get it by the time I leave for school.

I did this today. They said they were just sending out decisions daily. Generally, I think it's their standard answer when people call about their status. I don't think it's just rejections.

Yeah - weird that no one on here is reporting having received a final decision (rejection or acceptance) in the past week when decisions are "being sent out daily."

I looked back at last year's thread and a lot of people were emailed rejections Friday, August 16th.
