I recently sent in my application and received my first complete this morning and then a second one just a few minutes ago. Hopefully two completes over the course of a few hours means I'll get an answer soon? Fingers crossed!

Congratulations to everyone who's been accepted so far and good luck to the rest of us :)
Two completes on the same day? That sounds unusual. To everyone: is it?
How can you tell you got 2 completes in a day? Wouldn't they both have today's date?

Do you mean you had a complete yesterday (2/5) and then another today (2/6)? If that's the case, then I think you're likely to get a decision shortly.

How recently did you submit?
Since submitting, I've received three separate notifications:
Feb 4: receipt of my application
Today at 10:56AM: complete
Again at 12:37PM: complete

I noticed from this thread that for everyone else, their completes came in on separate days. When I got that second notification today, I too thought it unusual. Maybe they sent it in error?

Hm. A 2/4 receipt and then two completes and a decision would be crazy fast.

Oh..ok. I think most people are referring to the complete dates on the status checker, about which you do not receive an email. For example, I applied on the 1/4, BU acknowledged receipt via email on the 6th and I got the app complete email on the 10th. Then my status checker date also updated on 1/16 and 1/29. I didn't get emails for the latter date changes.

Got the acceptance packet over a week ago and no scholly in the packet. :( Still no word on scholly yet. Does this mean I'm out of the running for a scholly or is there still a chance?

UR #4 as of today. I wonder if they ever make decisions on the same day they make a status date change? Would really like a decision soon. This would be the 3rd update in about 3 weeks, the last update being a week ago...

Good to know! I'll have to keep an eye on my phone today.

I haven't been admitted, so I can't be 100% confident, but I don't think BU has a separate UR status. Just your the complete date changes. So you're likely to get a response somewhat soonish.

This is true. My bad. It does just say complete.

Yeah! Admitted students days are March 21 and April 4, I believe. Hotels are insanely expensive those weekends, though, so I was wondering if anyone knows the benefits of going on those days instead of visiting another time? What exactly do they do on admitted students days?

Thanks!

I don't know about BU's schedule, but I think at these things there's usually a class lecture to sit in on--sometimes it's a class of all prospies and the professors cold-call so you get a sense of what it's like. A tour. A lunch. Lots of people talking to you. Mingling opportunities.
There's a full schedule listed on the admitted student site. :) Lunch, lecture, panels, etc.

What do you think is the probability that no merit award notification in the admissions packet means there'll be no merit aid?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
