Maybe they'll hold you until after seat deposits are due? Just a guess.Newb2law wrote:Congrats! ya, but you probably applied months ago :[ I'm worried bcz I applied so late in the cycle... :'(RLowry23 wrote:I got in w/ a 163, 3.5 so I don't think you're screwed.Newb2law wrote:GUYS. Does your status change when you are put on the waitlist? I have been sitting at complete for a month and I am nervous I may have missed an email from them being a few emails got lost in my spam folder early on in the process.

Yeah you would get an email from them and the status would say: "your application has been wait listed"

I don't think it ever changes to "in review". I'm still at "complete" and coming up on 8 weeks with only one date change. Pretty sure a rejection is creeping up on me this week...jrob284755 wrote:Does your status change when you are put on the waitlist? Soo.. the general consensus is that the wait time to hear back from Fordham is over two months, and thus far the post January responses have seen a tidal wave of WLs?

Officially, finally, waitlisted.
Very surprised (thought it was def rejection) but still pretty upset, especially because chance of merit/need-based aid if I get in now is zilch or at least low...anyone know when they start reviewing the waitlist? /how many people normally get off of it, etc?
Congrats to the admits!

Re: Fordham c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014 cycle)
That's done on a rolling basis. As soon as admitted applicants start turning down their seats the admissions office begins selecting people from the waiting list (in order of lsat/gpa). So if you've been waitlisted and you're at their 25th percentile, you'd be one of the first people to come off the waitlist. This process may have already started (or will start very soon), and can extend all the way to August. Yes, August. As ridiculous as that sounds, it's true. As far as how many people actually make it off, I'd be very surprised if it were greater than 15-20% of the total wait list(if that). However, I'm just taking a stab in the dark there.Yazzzay wrote:Officially, finally, waitlisted.

Unfortunately, I applied very late (early January). My application was marked complete a day or so after applying. I JUST got my first date change on 3/4. The wait really blows.

I have a feeling LSX_Nut meant 75ths haha. Of which I am nowhere near so I'm in for a long wait & likely rejection. Where are you getting your info btw? Thanks a lot for it, just curious if there was a site or something you saw this and I'm missing! Also I applied early Jan too, the 9th, so an answer may be coming to you soon!bigfeature wrote:LSX_Nut wrote:That's done on a rolling basis. Re: Fordham c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014 cycle)
Correct, that was a brain fart moment. Yes, if you were waitlisted, and at their 75th percentile, you'd be among the first to get in. That's not to say that you can't get in being at their 25th, but you're likely to wait for that acceptance well into summer, it comes at all. As far as where I get my info, most of it is from personal experience from friends. For example, a close friend of mine was notified in early August that a seat had opened up. You also have to consider that the majority of seats available are already accounted for, so there are just a few seats they have to secure. Like I said, the percentage of students that get off the waitlist was just a stab in the dark, and probably varies quite a bit from year to year.Yazzzay wrote:I have a feeling LSX_Nut meant 75ths haha. There's a wealth of info on waitlist in this thread. I was wrong about how early they start reviewing the waitlist. Apparently they start reviewing after June 3. That seems waaaaaay too late for me though.

Has anyone sent a LOCI yet and if so, who did you send it to? Considering I'm guessing they aren't going to review the waitlist for a while it seems silly but I reallllllly like Fordham and want them to know it...

Just spoke to admissions to get waitlist stats which they don't give out but they begin review April 15 and request all additional materials to be emailed to admissions.
At this point, getting in off the waitlist without any scholarships will make turning down my full to Cardozo and even my partial to BLS very difficult...
