I jumped straight from received to Committee Review 2 on 1/16 and nothing since, either! I'm in the opposite situation with LSAT/GPA, but I'm curious about what this stagnancy means!LoveforLaw341 wrote:Checking in! (Kind of) I feel a ding headed my way. I submitted January 6th and was in committee second review by the 16th! Still waiting there but seeing as I am below their 25th LSAT and above their 75% GPA threshold I have a feeling I am about to feel the sting of a shitty LSAT score. I wrote a legitimate addendum and very compelling adversity statement (at least according to the professors I asked to read it and other admissions officers from schools that admitted me) but in the end, I know it's a numbers game. Does anyone care to provide me with any false hope when it comes to a speedy evaluation with a late application?

Re: USC c/o 2017 Applicants Thread (2013-2014)
If last year is any indication, they release decisions in batches. For example, the first batch of decisions went out the middle of January, second batch beginning of February, and the second batch the second week of February. It looks like there's only been one batch of decisions this cycle, so I wouldn't read into being in 1st/2nd committee read too much, as they may just be waiting to release decisions all at once. Or they may be holding your app for another later batch, when they have a better idea of they applicant pool.
This is all just conjecture, but it seems like it may be useful to calm a few nerves.

3.98/161. Submitted on 12/8, and I banned myself from checking up on the status of all my applications. In via email on 1/13.Moonlight wrote:Really?? Do you mind if we ask what your stats were? Also In Final Review as of this AM.... any evidence out there to suggest how long Final Review usually lasts?

Gould itself claims 7 - 10 days for a decision following "Decision Finalized".Glasseyes wrote:Also In Final Review as of this AM.... any evidence out there to suggest how long Final Review usually lasts?
It doesn't glean much for us, but if I had to guess we'll be in DF by Friday and know probably by next Friday at the latest.

I went from "final review" to decision finalized within a couple days and got my decision email on the afternoon of the day it was finalized. I don't think you'll have to wait that long!

Nice thank you for the info. Now my heart rate can stay at a cool near-fatal level as I refresh my email for the next 5 days.Rt887 wrote:I went from "final review" to decision finalized within a couple days and got my decision email on the afternoon of the day it was finalized. Accepted via email!
As far as I can tell, today my status changed from "Committee Review 2" to "In Final Review" and later to "Decision Finalized," and then I got the email.
LSAT: 168
GPA: 3.64
