ETA: The admissions office is now closed for the day; anyone want to hazard a guess as to whether this is it for the week (and probably for a long while), or whether they'll continue trickling out tomorrow?
If the great 170 wall has truly fallen then I expect a TON of movement as they will start going after all the
169/3.7 types.
Keeping my fingers crossed

I'm basically in that same boat. I would say that overall I have performed much better than I expected this cycle but all along I thought I would be WL->Accept at UVA and possibly Penn and maybe luckbox my way to a CCN WL->accept. Rejected at NYU and WL at Columbia and Chicago so remains to be seen but not looking particularly good there.
But yeah, all of that is to say that I think LSAT medians will be falling and that there could be some epic WL movement this cycle.

Thanks for the additional info!
Starting to think I definitely need to write a LOCI. How long was yours, if you don't mind me asking? I have yet to write one, and have little to no idea what I'm doing.
This blog has a great page on writing LOCI's. I described a few specific characteristics of the school that I like, calling out a particularly clinic and explaining why it makes sense with my background. I then updated my application slightly, describing developing responsibilities at my job and other 'outside of work' activities I've been involved in. I then just gushed about my dreams to attend and said I would accept if given an offer.
The whole thing fit on one page. Write one!

You really have a 169/3.3?
Has the 170 wall just come tumbling down!?!?!?!?!
Who knows how they make these admission decisions, but I also have a masters degree and two years w.e.

I'll go ahead and take the lack of communication today from Dean Richard (i.e., "we're done for now") as an indication that there are more WL offers coming this week. Mostly because it's depressing to think otherwise!

I got an email asking to call today but I only just got it so I'm in suspense until tomorrow. For those that got the email today, was it a positive email indicating admission or did it just say they wanted to discuss where they were in the waitlist process?
Just want to know if I should be freaking out or not or prepping for an interview or something else? Thanks for the help!

So I looked through the numbers listed here, in the spreadsheet, and on LSN, and I think there are about 10 or 11 unique profiles of waitlisters admitted May 1 or later. With the usual caveat that this could be an unrepresentative sample, it's interesting how tightly clustered the LSATs are (169 in particular seems to be a fashionable score):
171 3.5
170 3.32
170 3.6
169 3.54
169 3.7
169 3.6
169 3.56
169 3.3
168 3.9
164 4
161 3.97
Note: highly unscientific—may include duplicates/errors.

Email was extremely neutral. Just asked if I had time to call and that they'd like to update me on where they are in the waitlist process.

Haha, it's actually going to be a close call if UVA offers some money.

I just was. I had no Why VA in in my initial app, no LOCI, no additional recommendation.

I'm curious to know if anyone who has been accepted off the WL is still in UG as I'm wondering if schools will wait for a final transcript before considering these candidates.

Interesting that they seem to be avoiding the 170s and the 169s with higher GPAs. I wonder why that is? Maybe they are assuming these people already have money at other T14s or are in at higher ranked schools and thus won't attend UVA at sticker? Maybe they are just targeting the people whose number composition makes them most likely to attend?
Anyway, congrats to all the new admits!

I like this theory...
Reverse splitters, and 3.5-3.6 169 seems to be the theme here.
