I'm assuming you have a GRE score in addition to your LSAT on file with American though?
I took the GRE but never sent it to American. It might be though that they asked for a self-reported score and I put the numbers down somewhere in the app ...

If you indicate on the JD application that you want to do a dual degree they automatically consider you for both. Most schools do separate applications for each degree but American allows you to apply for them with just one app.
Thanks for the info! I didn't realize this so I was really confused about being admitted into the Master program!

In via email about 20 minutes ago. I may not have been paying close attention to the status checker, but I don't think I had the same 3 updates as some earlier people reported. 1/30 app received, 2/4 complete, 2/11 complete, 2/15 "Admitted"

I'm not sure what's up with this one for me. Applied 1/13, last update 2/4, but no word yet. 166 and mediocre GPA with addendum, but 3-4 years decent WE and (I think) strong LOR, including one from a recent WCL grad currently working in government.

They've admitted almost no one with 165+. Just there way of gaming the numbers.
And to be fair to their system, I will almost definitely withdraw without serious $$$, and they aren't known for that. Perhaps they know what they're doing.

Just on that, are they usually sending schollys together with admission packets? I was admitted last month and as of now received no info about $. Fair to say that will not be paying sticker or close to it to attend.

Oh, OK. Fair enough, I guess. I probably would not choose American over GMU or UMD, especially at sticker, but it would be nice to have the option.
Congrats to everyone getting the good news today.

I think this has been discussed previously....but I'm still surprised at lack of scholarship $$. I've gotten anywhere from 54K-90K total at similarly ranked schools, but 7,500K here. Although DC would be great, I just can't justify going...

Just got the email with the offer of a one-time $20,000 Dean's Merit Scholarship. What is ambiguous is whether they make a separate offer for 2L and 3L.

Got my scholarship email from American.
ONE-TIME merit award of $7,500.
75th LSAT above 75th GPA - why even give out such a measly award.

I have yet to get any email about scholly. I hope the dont expect me to pay sticker. Even with my numbers I won't do it.
Is it because I haven't filled any FAFSA yet perhaps?

I haven't filled out FAFSA either...But I'm sorry, $7.5K once is ridiculous. I don't know how they expect people to agree to that unless they're independently wealthy and have crazy amazing ties to the DC market.

I completed my FAFSA mid January and I still haven't received anything from them. Who knows...

Yes Agreed! I got much bigger scholarships (not trying to humblebrag just saying) from peer schools and better schools. I can't imagine going there for only a $7.5k one time grant.

Anyone attending the Miami event this week? I RSVPed but I'm most likely withdrawing, so I'm not even sure I should attend. Their scholarships are a joke.
