Lol, forgot to mention: Congrats to all my fellow admits!

Also, just thought I'd add that it sounds like they haven't used that $25M gift to increase the number of Dean's Scholarships, since my e-mail states that "up to ten of these scholarships are awarded annually" and that seems consistent with years past. (Correct me if I'm wrong here.)

So I would speculate that--if they are indeed using the gift for scholarships--it would be in the form of more money for people who would have otherwise gotten less or none. Of course, they may also invent a new scholarship with specific criteria, but they didn't mention anything like that in the e-mail.

Good luck to everyone else waiting! Hopefully some of you will hear back this week.

Went complete on 9/27. I have not heard yet. Should I expect a decision by this week? I have a 3.7, 169.

So just glancing at last year's thread, all scholarship money has to be applied for separately?

Hey not 100% sure but for the Dean's Scholarship, you get an invite to apply so you apply separately then.

You don't need to send in something separate from the application now in order to be considered for scholarships -- you hear from their end what you need to do (just wanted to make this distinction). And it's only the Dean's Scholarship...other merit aid that's combined with need based aid is given later on (after you apply for financial aid).

Congrats to everyone that got in!

also, does the school usually send out many decisions once in a while or send out decisions over a few days in a row?

The current status date changed. The status is still "Your Application is complete."

Lol @ the selfishness, entitlement, and first world problems ITT.

Submitted one of the first days apps opened, around both medians, no status update and no decision yet. Zero fucks given. Seems like they are just doing the autoadmits who would never attend in a million years first, then they will get to the lower numbers that might actually attend. I expect to play the waiting game for another month at least but I could be wrong.

Really unnecessary snark. No one is acting entitled, just excited.

Not being too serious...only that you went complete a day before us, but haven't received anything yet. Doesn't bode well for those of us who went complete on 9/28 and hoping for something today.

Yeah, we'll see. Did your status date change? Also, what time did people receive their decisions yesterday?

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
