Re: Harvard Waitlist 2012
Feel free to doubt the report as much as you want. I was just letting you all know what I heard from a reliable source.
But in the past 3 years, there has always been a couple of WL-admits on LSN before the big wave. The ones reported on LSN are in April, and then the big wave comes around this time in May until June. So it is very likely that this trend was maintained (just a bit later in the year this year), and that the big wave will start around the 20th, like it did every year the last 3 years.

No one is saying you are lying....its just that the fact that the news is from a friend of a friend just gives room for miscommunication.
Also from past years the waves started earlier..usually the first week in May not the 3rd/4th week. It usually begins with the URMs and a few days after everyone joins in. Technically Harvard is behind in its WL-admits. Once again I would not be shocked if JS is back and their trying to switch over again lol.

Keeping optimism. Tomorrow is the day for KB1s (maybe JS???) on Monday. It'll be nice to give us all the weekend to prep.

Where is the evidence that backs up your claim about Stanford winning an abnormal number of admits from Harvard? What gives this appearance?sharktankdean wrote:I doubt the WL movement started. I agree with previous posters the WL is to large for us to not have one TLS/LSN WL-admit. And contrary to my previous belief it appears Stanford's rise to #2 did have some effect on the Stanford/Harvard decisions this year. Unless they decide to decrease class size, I would not worry too much.

Any decision on whether final transcripts should be sent through LSAC or directly to the office...?

"For example, if you have been enrolled in an academic program, you may wish to provide a final transcript to LSAC." That's from the wait list email.Elendil wrote:Any decision on whether final transcripts should be sent through LSAC or directly to the office...?

I think u should call on Monday to confirm. But I don't see the harm in doing both if u have to send it tout today. At least u will be sure that one will be accepted.
Also since the last known deposit deadline has passed (Friday) I'll be praying this whole weekend. Asking for some good news for all of us. Our hope shall be restored!

Re: Harvard Waitlist 2012
When is says "Harvard accepts about 800 applicants for a class of 500 or so.." that 800 includes those admitted of the WL, right? Just wondering.
