Called admissions last week asking for a scholarship and my request was initially denied.
Regardless, I sent in my half-deposit last night and was offered 4k/yr guaranteed via email just now. Better than nothing, especially considering that all of my other scholly offers in the Midwest have had unreasonable stipulations attached.

Congrats! I'm glad they offered you something. I just sent in my deposit an hour ago. I got no scholarship but the school just really "sold" it to me during the admitted students event. I got to know several attorneys and students as they contacted me via email and phone. Interestingly, none of the other schools went through this much trouble to provide information about their programs.

I really was thinking about going to Kent's evening program. I currently work as a paralegal, and I could keep working full-time, which would be awesome for my financial well-being. I also want to do IP, which makes Kent a good fit.

But, alas, Kent only offered me $76,000 over the four years. Northwestern offered me $90,000 over three. I emailed Kent to negotiate, and they increased my scholarship to $100,000 over four years, with no stiuplations.

Really? Really? I was nervous that they would give me full tuition, because then I would have a really difficult decision to make. But, no. I know Northwestern is more expensive, and I'll have to go full time, but I needed Kent to be a bit more generous for them to be competetive.

I think you're in good shape. NU with basically any money is better than a full at Kent, and with 90k its no contest.

in Review since 2/6. it's more than 2 months and deposit date is very near. I'm international and really want this school. What would you suggest to me to do in this situtaion.

Scholarship info came in today for 8,000 / year. I don't think it's enough to sway me, but I will wait a day or so (or take the Kent method and wait 4 months) to decide.

I'm still undecided at this point, and the LUC seat deposit deadline is quickly approaching.

The LUC scholarship is also free of stips. I took a quick peek and Kent is @ 42,900 and LUC is @ 39,850 for a difference of 3,050 / year. If you take the 3,050 off the Kent scholarship, I am looking at a difference of less than 2,000 / year (6,000 total). In the grand scheme, I don't think it is enough to sway me away from LUC, but I am just not sure.

yeah i was deferred middle of march. I dont expect to hear back until June. If i hear back sooner even better, but i'm crossing my fingers.
