Even if they are planning on accepting a lot of people off of the waitlist, why would people with 168's and 169's wait until April, or dare I say August, to get an answer from GW? I can't imagine doing that. Moving to a new city, and making living arrangements takes a long time. Factor in the fact that it's DC, and multiply all of that by 10. If I'm moving to DC, I want to start making plans in February at the latest.

I'm not a 168 or 169, but I would wait until the end unless I get in somewhere better. I am originally from DC and worst case scenario I can live at home and commute every day (probably wouldn't happen, but I could). I'm IP and I want to end up in DC though. Also that kind of applies to any waitlist (the moving part). I told Fordham I'd wait until the end of May because I don't want to deal with crazy moving stress.

I got in somehow, even though I have similar #s to some of you that got WL'd. I get this strange arrogant/cocky feeling from GW this year, and I don't like it one little bit.

However, I do think having class sizes around 300 (permanently) could only help the school. The physical space of the building is pretty max'ed out - borderline claustrophobic.

Anyway, I can't imagine how you 3.6+/167+ wont get off the WL, but it makes me mad (for you) that they'd make you sit around like that.

I agree that it's claustrophobic in there. Even if you go after business hours, which I did. There were a million people everywhere I went.

From looking at threads from past years, it seems that most of the ED acceptances have come out around December 22. The rest of the applicants didn't find out that they had been deferred until early to mid-January.

I felt my numbers(3.8/169) were pretty competitive for ED a few months ago, but now with the recent decisions, I'm pretty sure I'll be deferred to RD.

Not neccessarily. I dont think many applicants with 170+ are willing to be bound with GW without trying a Top 14 school.

I updated again today as well...11/14, to 12/14. Did you two apply RD or ED? I applied ED and wonder if that has something to do with it.

I applied RD, went complete 11/8 and just went complete for a second time today. I was thinking i'd be riding the waitlist soon after I asked them to not wait for my Dec LSAT, but I haven't gotten any sad emails....yet...

Yeah, I would think that anyone who is above both medians has an excellent shot at the ED scholly. I'd say 3.8/169 is just the numbers they're looking to secure. (Those are the 2010 75ths for Cornell by the way.) Northwestern has a similar ED program for the first time this year and 2 of the 4 people who have received it so far and posted on TLS have GPAs significantly below median.

Nooooo. Just when I finally get to point of accepting it's not getting to happen, you guys have to come along and get my hopes up again! No I'm totally kidding. Either way though, I hope they release the decisions soon.
