Definitely call Stanford. I called after my dean's certificate had been MIA for a couple weeks after my UG sent it - they found it and updated it right away. They were very nice about it.Elendil wrote:I was told that my dean's certificate was mailed in over two weeks ago by my student affairs office, but my application still shows it as missing... think it would be better to wait it out for a few more days, call them directly, or ask my dean to call and verify that they received it?

The lack of movement in this thread is getting me down. Someone please amuse me while I wait for my mid-February rejection.

Honestly the Stanford Law School Admission Process is like a black hole.

My application is complete + submitted for review! Submitted early Nov. and sent out my DC soon thereafter.
I was planning on calling them about why my app was still incomplete, but nevermind.
I love you Stanford, please let me in!

Submitted for review today.
Stanford's a huge reach for me, especially due to my complete lack of softs, but just throwing a Hail Mary here and hoping for the best.

Anyone think we'll start hearing back at the end of the week? Looks like last year decisions started going out on the 8th!

Under review...wonder if adcomm's would give my app a lil extra consideration if they knew my first TLS post was on this thread...

Under Review as of today. This is surprising since I only submitted my application 11/26. Is everyone who has submitted under review then?
Oh well, I hope they have fun rejecting me. This is a HUGE reach.

I submitted in late October but only went complete on 11/22 (undergrad dean's rec took a while to get in). I'm not under review yet.Green Glass Windows wrote:Under Review as of today. This is surprising since I only submitted my application 11/26. Is everyone who has submitted under review then?

Is there a different between "submitted for review" and "under review" for Stanford?

Ah, mine has been "submitted for review" since 11/22. Not sure if this is the final phase before a decision, or if it goes "under review" or something first.Zelda wrote:Is there a different between "submitted for review" and "under review" for Stanford?

Re: Stanford c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
I think "submitted for review" is the final phase before a decision. I don't have a lot of personal experience with Stanford's process, but I have been complete and "submitted for review" since 10/28. So I can't imagine that there's another status that shows up on the status checker that indicates that your file is being reviewed by the committee. There is the dreaded "decision letter sent", but I don't think that appears until the spring.splbagel wrote:Ah, mine has been "submitted for review" since 11/22. A little off-topic here but while I wait for my Ding, does anybody know it Stanford has institutional loans for international students like Harvard and Yale do? Loans that are granted by the law school itself? Looked through everything on their website and couldn't find anything...

Re: Stanford c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
this is one of my few applications where i am 99.9% sure of the outcome (reject), but it makes me the most nervous. damn you LSP for listing me as "consider"! ah well, skimmed through LSN just now and it looks like if you submitted before december and don't hear back by early feb it's most likely a rejection. although, looking at LSN, it looks like no matter when you apply it's most likely a rejection haha.
here's hoping for the .01%! good luck to everyone!

Me too! I just had a thrilling acceptance this week which takes the edge off, but Stanford is still my ultimate dream school... I look at last year's LSN graph every couple of weeks to remind myself not to get my hopes up.tdicks wrote:this is one of my few applications where i am 99.9% sure of the outcome (reject), but it makes me the most nervous. damn you LSP for listing me as "consider"! ah well, skimmed through LSN just now and it looks like if you submitted before december and don't hear back by early feb it's most likely a rejection. although, looking at LSN, it looks like no matter when you apply it's most likely a rejection haha.
