I was in Section 3, which for your class is Section 1, so I didn't have Krahmer for Contracts, but I currently have him for Commercial Law.A12345 wrote:that rough lol? explain more please. I want to be filled with horror when I step foot in class the first day lol
Krahmer is a great professor. There is no greater expert on the UCC or the Texas Business and Commerce Code than him. In fact, he wrote the Texas Code Forms for Vernon's on the UCC. These volumes Krahmer wrote are the reference for any Texas attorneys that draft documents dealing with the UCC.
It won't be rough if you're prepared. In Krahmer's Contracts class you have to stand, which you will get used to. He also likes to stick with you if you know the material, and he likes to challenge you. I think this is his way of having fun. One day before class started, as I was preparing, he snuck up behind me and whispered, "you better get ready--it's your day today." I looked at him wide-eyed and said, kind of shocked, "what?" He looked at me with a mischievous grin and said, "It's going to be you for the whole class." I just shook my head, and he walked away chuckling. I was concerned because I was pretty confused about what we were going over that day (§ 3-605 of the UCC). As class began, he told everyone that the material for the day was confusing, so he would do his best to explain it, without calling on anyone. I breathed a sigh of relief.
Don't be scared, just be prepared. Krahmer will probably end up being one of your favorite professors.

Haha thanks for the rundown. Your initial post made it seem like I was going to be dreading going to class everyday. Nice to know he's an excellent professor and has a sense of humor.

Re: Texas Tech Fall 2011
Is anyone else getting emails for financial aid requirements that you've already completed a long time ago? All of my loan docs like the entrance counseling is still listed as unsatisfied even though I've done them about three times in the last two months. I emailed financial aid about it too a week ago and still haven't heard anything back from them.

I got those e-mails and gave fin. aid a call. They told me that they send those out to everyone who will be getting any aid. The reason, they say, that the enterance counseling reqirement is still unsatisfied is their fault, because they haven't processed all of the loan papers. Because of that they aren't showing you as complete. But as long as you know you did it and have proof you're good. You can call them and they can look you up individually and tell you if everything on your account is straight and ready to go or if you are missing anything.emlawi wrote:yeah, same here.alison12102 wrote:Is anyone else getting emails for financial aid requirements that you've already completed a long time ago? Thank you so much for that! I was starting to get really worried, at least I know I'm not alone. Would be nice if they sent a quick email getting us all up to speed, but hey, I'm sure they're busy...jmill wrote:I got those e-mails and gave fin. aid a call.
