Got $15k/yr. Will probably email tomorrow to withdraw from consideration. The scholarship is just far too small for me to consider going to Case. Good luck to all.

Does Case negotiate scholarship $$$?? I was offered 96000 but have a better offer from a school ranked 30 spots higher. I would rather go to Case but I am interested in hearing or not past students have had luck negotiating?

I negotiated from $15k to $19,500 per year. I e-mailed the Dean, when she didn't respond I called. I gave her my speech about loving case, wanting to go here, but needing more money. She asked me about other schools, and told me my grades were super low (I had a 3.16 at the time), I told her I had a 3.8 that semester, and I'd really appreciate if it she considered increasing my scholarship. An hour later I got an e-mail with the new scholarship amount. I mean, it's not much. But, I literally had almost nothing to work with. I had a 161, 3.16, and didn't get into any higher ranked schools or get more money from peer schools. So, really, it's just all about asking. Perhaps if I had had more leverage I could have gotten more money, but, I was still pleased.

If 3.16 is super low to them then they must really have laughed at my application.

Submitted app over a month ago. Never received a confirmation. So I inquired the other day about getting access to the status checker and the response I got was odd. I was informed that a decision had not been made on my application (DUH!) and that I would receive an email informing me that my password would be reset. Thanks Case Western for resetting the password that i never received. By the way they never sent the link to the status check and I can't find it to save my life on their website. So does anyone have a link to the site?

Still waiting on scholarship information here... I have the little scholarship agreement box on the status checker and they give out a good bit of aid - come on Case.

The status checker indicated that a decision had been made on the same day. I received the e-mail the day after. This is also in line with how the process worked last year.

That's funny - my interview was with a guy that was all about answering the questions.

In today and scholarship today - yay! Seriously seriously considering Case. Definitely going to use that travel stipend to visit.

My status says "decision rendered" and under it I have 2 check boxes, one for transcripts and one for a scholarship form. Anyone know if that means an acceptance?

I am. I'm in NC, so I'm weighing the benefits of flying/driving. I'll probably drive. I'll be alone and would be nice to have a car. Are you definitely going?
