I'm under review as of 1/6 and just got my LSAT back which makes me a lot more attractive candidate. Do I email Wake to let them known or just hope they get the update from LSAC before my decision is made?

Ok I asked about scholarships and open houses and got the following reply:

Scholarship information will be sent out by the end of January.

I am currently working on Open House dates – right now I am waiting for confirmation of space requests. I can give you the tentative dates, with the proviso that one or two might change. As soon as the dates are completely set, you will receive an e-mail with information about how to register for one of the dates.

The tentative dates are:
March 4
March 18
March 25
April 1
April 8

There are two Open Houses for Scholarship recipients, and if you receive a scholarship you will receive a separate invitation to those.

So unfortunately, I think we have a bit more waiting to do for scholarships.

I'm still hopeful that we will hear something sometime next week. I mean, surely they would have to release the scholarship information soon(ish) if their calendar is correct: http://law.wfu.edu/calendar/2011/02/04/8941

The first scholars open house is 2/4/11, supposedly. Seems like people would need at least a few weeks notice to arrange travel plans, right?

You may want to call and check. It can't hurt to ask and at least they will know you are interested enough to call.

Ok so when you call today, don't just let them tell you "by the end of January" like they did in my email, try to get a more specific response. You could say that you know the Scholars Open Houses are usually in early February and that you're worried you won't have enough time to plan a trip out there if scholarships are sent out at the end of the month or something (this is actually a real concern of mine). Guilt them into answering

I called today to find out info not only on scholarships but on admitted students weekends/days, and they're closed due to all the bad weather we've been having. I left a message and hope they'll call me back tomorrow.

Hey guys! Wanted to relay this message. I just spoke with the someone in the admissions and apparently they had planned on sending out scholarships early (maybe sometime this week) but due to to inclement weather, school closing and Ms Nutt being out sick, they had to push it back so we still have to wait. Here's to hoping for next week tho!

I submitted my app on 11/15 and have been under administrative review since 12/1...called this morning and Jenny said I should expect to hear within the next two weeks. 163/3.32, chances of it being good news?? Wake's my top choice!!!

I'm in the same boat. I don't think my chances are that peachy- but still hopeful! Also just not a fan of waiting.

I believe everybody notified before Feb last year was in/wl.
