i don't think it's a good idea. no one has even gotten a decision yet. all you're going to do is annoy them and they're just going to give you a generic answer.

You can probably hire 100 unemployed actors to sing it for you for less than 20 bucks. Total. They need the resume filler.

Ya I know, but if you get flown out at least you got a free trip out of it. And that person has to have better options anyway?
I see your point. :)
Yeah. Plus just because CRS deems him/her auto admit, doesnt mean he/she is. Since the Rothman process is at the same time as the admissions process, who knows what's going to happen. Though I agree that it's crazy that they didnt get in when they got to the final rounds of the interview. What would suck of he/she was an LA native, and thus, no free trip.

lol I wonder if the people who got the ride has CCN numbers or lower T14 numbers.

The invite is like a direct mail campaign, I want to know what are the chances to actually get considered.

Looking at their bios, it may vary. They mostly graduated summa cum laude from various top schools, so likely 3.85+ GPA, and assume high LSAT. But who knows. Tempted to email to ask.

I don't know what context to judge that in. USC standard or Harvard standard? If you email, please let me know what you find out :)

I looked at the profiles of past Rothman scholars in the mail, and numbers wise they seem to be sort of all over the board. For one person it said "got into many top east coast schools" and for someone else it said "got into schools including Berkeley, Northwestern, Michigan, etc". So it seems like the numbers aren't insanely high, but their softs are. I thought it'd be YHS people that'd get the scholarship before..

Anyone have any opinion on whether not completing the app will have a negative impact on admission/other scholarship offers?...not to be too lazy, but I'm thinking my chances are slim and I'll be out of the country during the interview process anyway.

You'll probably be accepted before the deadline for the Rothman so I wouldn't worry about it.

In other news: I know I am way behind all you guys that went complete 2+ months ago but I think I am clicking SUBMIT tonight - very excited :D

You don't have to eat it, just order it ;) and Kobe beef. If it is buffet style, skip a meal.

Good luck with the app! Why so late? Best of luck on the other apps too.

Also received Rothman today after nearly giving up hope. Hope to see some of you in LA over surf-and-turf dinners flavored with conspicuous consumption. Questions? Just ask Philly for ordering hints :)

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
