i don't think it's a good idea. no one has even gotten a decision yet. all you're going to do is annoy them and they're just going to give you a generic answer.

You can probably hire 100 unemployed actors to sing it for you for less than 20 bucks. Total. They need the resume filler.justadude55 wrote:it is LA.

Yeah. Plus just because CRS deems him/her auto admit, doesnt mean he/she is. Since the Rothman process is at the same time as the admissions process, who knows what's going to happen. Though I agree that it's crazy that they didnt get in when they got to the final rounds of the interview. What would suck of he/she was an LA native, and thus, no free trip.JJDancer wrote:I see your point.r6_philly wrote:Ya I know, but if you get flown out at least you got a free trip out of it. And that person has to have better options anyway?JJDancer wrote: lol true about the free trip to LA. I was referring to the one person who was flown out for an interview for Rothman but wasn't accepted to USC at all..?

The invite is like a direct mail campaign, I want to know what are the chances to actually get considered.

Looking at their bios, it may vary. They mostly graduated summa cum laude from various top schools, so likely 3.85+ GPA, and assume high LSAT. But who knows. Tempted to email to ask.r6_philly wrote:lol I wonder if the people who got the ride has CCN numbers or lower T14 numbers.Arbiter213 wrote:Well if they invited me it can't be too selectiver6_philly wrote:Got the invite in the mail. Re: USC 2011
I looked at the profiles of past Rothman scholars in the mail, and numbers wise they seem to be sort of all over the board. For one person it said "got into many top east coast schools" and for someone else it said "got into schools including Berkeley, Northwestern, Michigan, etc". So it seems like the numbers aren't insanely high, but their softs are. I thought it'd be YHS people that'd get the scholarship before..

Anyone have any opinion on whether not completing the app will have a negative impact on admission/other scholarship offers?...not to be too lazy, but I'm thinking my chances are slim and I'll be out of the country during the interview process anyway.

You'll probably be accepted before the deadline for the Rothman so I wouldn't worry about it.TCo wrote:Anyone have any opinion on whether not completing the app will have a negative impact on admission/other scholarship offers?...not to be too lazy, but I'm thinking my chances are slim and I'll be out of the country during the interview process anyway.

Also received Rothman today after nearly giving up hope. Hope to see some of you in LA over surf-and-turf dinners flavored with conspicuous consumption. Questions? Just ask Philly for ordering hints
