My app went from complete on 12/1 to under review on 12/2 to incomplete on 12/3. Fun fun fun.

What do you guys think the chances of those of us who went under review 12/1, 12/2, or 12/3 getting decisions before the holidays?

Question: For those accepted today, the status checker reads first deposit due. Does that mean it's due immediately or due at a date they will disclose in the official acceptance letter? Thanks

I'd like to know the answer to this. I just went UR 12/3. Someone went UR 11/22 and got a decision today 12/3. So that's 11 days.. I doubt we'll hear back that soon... but here's hoping!bistduverrueckt wrote:What do you guys think the chances of those of us who went under review 12/1, 12/2, or 12/3 getting decisions before the holidays?

Some others went UR 11/30 and got a decision today--that's only four days! So maybe we'll get very very lucky and hear back in the next batch.shanshan333 wrote:I'd like to know the answer to this. Re: Fordham 2011
Fordham is not always fast, but they are working on it. I went complete around Nov 15th and got my decision January 23rd. Unfortunately, that decision was waitlist, and I was admitted at last on May 1st. Our first seat deposits were due April 15, though many people paid earlier if they had decided, and late admits like me were given an extension. The school will mail you a welcome envelope with info about your deposits. I filled out my matriculation form on a warm spring day outside Loewenstein, and I still remember blinking back tears when I went to hand over the money. They had cake in the admissions office, and though I was only a newly matriculated 0L, they insisted I eat.
The waiting is insanely hard, but it makes the acceptance really mean something.

Re: Fordham 2011
Oh, I am glad! Yes, good things might come, though the waiting is hellish. I came close to giving up and withdrawing because I had been waitlisted 99 days and despaired of ever hearing anything good. Cleareyes (a former poster who is a 2L at Harvard) said I had better not, and YCRevolution's Law School Predictor (then in prototype form) said my index number was over median. It made me hopeful, and after I got in, I do think I treated the 1L experience differently because of what it cost just to have that chance. So this is meant to be a hopeful message. Sometimes it sucked a lot, but I am still grateful and happy for even the disappointing experiences that taught me so much.gdane5 wrote:This post makes me happy.OperaSoprano wrote:Fordham is not always fast, but they are working on it. Re: Fordham 2011
Sorry I didn't get a chance to post these last night:
Applied: Oct 22
Status Checker: Oct 23
Complete: Not positive though I want to say it was sometime in early November.
Current Status Date: Dec 3
The email says something about the Admitted Students' site not being totally ready yet. So anyone checking in through there might want to just stick to the status checker.
Good luck to everyone still waiting! Great news will come!!

Re: Fordham 2011
Can anybody comment on what chances I have at acceptance to PT with 165/3.42 ? Also does Fordham ever give merit money to PT'ers ? I'm not sure whether I'll get in let alone be granted $$. Fordham's my first choice and I would be ecstatic to get in, but paying sticker is pretty daunting. Comment from OS or anybody else is appreciated

Don't know about $$ for PT, but your chances for PT are relatively strong (i.e., at least above 50%).champ33 wrote:Can anybody comment on what chances I have at acceptance to PT with 165/3.42 ? Unrelated: Have admits been able to access the "Admitted Students" section of the website? I tried logging in w/ my LSAC # and LSAC password, but it didn't work.

Re: Fordham 2011
I have to add my own story to OS's. I went complete on 11/16 and was accepted on 5/10. It was the longest 6 months of my life. (OS kept me from losing my mind, several times over!) Never went to WL, went to "UR" and then back to "complete." Now that I'm prepping for finals? I can honestly say that it was worth every excruciating minute.OperaSoprano wrote:Yes, good things might come, though the waiting is hellish. No, I think they're a little tougher than that... last year I applied with a 163 and got rejected. I applied rather late though (either Dec or January) so maybe that'll help. I can only wait and see. But overall, LSN doesn't show really good odds for people with my numbers.

Haha, I'm actually not being sarcastic, I know people who got into FT with GPAs way lower than that and comparable LSAT score. Besides - they had shitty/no softs and I read their PS statements - not amazing.Stringer6 wrote:i think maybe that was a little jab from neptune

Re: Fordham 2011
PT in on 12/3, no aid info yet, admitted students website still not up yet.
My numbers were 3.51/166, but I am an EXTREMELY non-traditional student and I am not sure how that has/will affect things regarding aid, etc.
Good luck to everyone else who is still in application limbo.
