lol. People...

They're not going by last night alphabet, region, or numerical order of your phone numbers. My guess is they've got a batch of people they're admitting this week and they're just doing them in whatever order they land in their lap.

I don't get that one (what time zone). But it isn't out of question to order by last name BTW. When I build queries to select a subgroup from a database it is generally sorted by one attribute - most of the time by last name or zip code. If they use a computer compile file reviews, it is possible for them to go pull up a list of names to call from the database and have it displayed sorted by last name.

It's evening here on the east coast, so I don't think its unreasonable to presume that admissions officers might take into account time differences when calling applicants up, which is why I think people have asked about location. But seeing as how late some EST-ers got their calls, this probably isn't a factor.

Congrats everybody! My app was complete on 10/19 *fingers now crossed through week of 10/10!* I see that all of those who posted today as their decision date on LSN, have a 170 and up.

No ties to the school, but I am born, raised, and attend college in California, although in the Southern/Central Coast areas and not up in the Bay.

OMG, congrats guys... y'all made my heart beat fast for the first time all cycle. With my application date and lack of totally stellar application, I doubt I'll be hearing back this week but I'm glad to hear that they're going to keep doing calls... I can hope.

I only submitted in the last week of October... Is it still surprising? (I'm hoping the answer is "no, that's totally normal," because I have one glitch on my application - an f in a grad course I randomly took - that I'm hoping doesn't derail my cycle.)
