You have absolutely made my day. Suck it is an utterly underused phrase.

Virginia: That was really a lovely waitlist letter. I want to respond to one portion in particular.
Be assured that you would not be on the waitlist if we did not think your entire record reflects someone who we believe would do well here and contribute greatly to our community both personally and intellectually.
This is not something I say lightly, but: LOL

Dear Michigan,

You wish me luck in my "alternative" endeavors . What the fuck does that imply? What? If I didn't get into your elitist, popped collar, type-A, hypertension/early death factory, then I would abandon all hope of law school? No, you fucktards, you are not the only law school on Earth. In fact, there a more than a handful of schools ranked ahead of you. I guess modesty eluded you, while you crafted half assed rejection letters written on cheap paper. Is the hand-signed signature supposed to make me feel better about myself? Whatever, I am over it. Especially after today's basketball game, how could I have ever possibly longed to attend an institution that decides not to cover Evan Turner, and thus give him an opportunity to win the game all by himself ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MVLWsHjVu9Y ).

Yours, not so truly,

George Mason and I have the same relationship. (although my softs are not as spectacular as yours)

I'm sorry I'm not URM, I can't do anything to change that. I wouldn't want to go to your crap campus anyways.

Dear Notre Dame,

Maybe it was the fact that I attended a Lutheran school for undergrad and you are still carrying a grudge, man up the Reformation was like 400 years ago. Or perhaps it is my background in biochemistry which probably led you (and rightly so) to believe that I believe in evolution, support stem cell research, and voted for Barack Obama and various other non-Catholic sanctioned activities. Whatever, I didn't really want to live in South Bend... and screw the Irish, I'm Scottish anyway. If there is only one thing my father has taught me it is that the difference between a Scotsman and an Irishman is that at least a Scotsman can find his way home from the bar at the end of the night. Boom. Roasted.

Sincerely,

kkmae

I know exactly what they'd say. "We believe in taking a holistic approach for applications. This is an example of how numbers are not the end all for us."

Dinged at Stetson.

If you havn't heard of it, google it. I guess some cologne wearing cowboy with a designer 10 gallon hat made a sizable donation to this TTT institution.

159/3.89 when decision was rendered...(seriously Stetson?)

After February I'm 164/3.89...(eat it Stetson!)

dear gw,
Why am I not surprised to find that you seem to hold grudges? I'm sorry that the combination of a simply charming student body coupled with your sub par education left me with no choice but to relinquish my Presidential Scholarship and spot in your highly selective honors program after my freshman year to attend a much higher ranked and oh, cheaper, university. Even though you bombarded me with materials begging me to apply, and my numbers were too good for you anyway, like an immature child, you just couldn't seem to get over our past. I did appreciate your rejection letter, basically telling me I'm going to get into better schools than GW anyway, and guess what?? you were right!
GW, I am very forgiving and was willing to give you a second chance but alas, it seems the feud will carry on.

P.S you will never be georgetown

My first ding: Michigan

(To the tune of Hail to the Victors)

Hail to those motherfuckers
Hail to those big cocksuckers
Hail! Hail! to Michigan the cesspool of the west

Hail to those fornicators
Hail to those masturbators
Hail! Hail! to Michigan the cesspool of the west

Hail to those auto-workers
Hail to those circle jerkers
Hail! Hail! to Michigan the cesspool of the west

Hail to those flies and maggots
Hail to those WHORES AND [homophobic language redacted]
Hail! Hail! to Michigan the cesspool of the west
S-T-A-T-E Fuck you ohhhhhhhhhhhh

Sincerely,
A current Nittany Lion (who have beaten you two years in a row, although in all honesty, who hasn't?) and probably future Trojan.

Not to continually beat a dead horse, but this is for Temple:

If the font you use on your rejection letter is any indication of how seriously you take preparing students for a legal career, I'm happy to have the rejection. You might just as well have chosen Comic Sans MS or Webdings to show how serious you were about the review process and having to "deny admission to many qualified applicants."

As to the "disappointing news" you reference, I only disappointment I can fathom is not receiving the letter sooner.

Disrespectfully,

This Guy.

I still cannot completely understand the whole defensive rejection thing, its so counter-intuitive and illogical it amazes me.
