To be fair, the ASW is earlier this year than in previous years. All this talk about straight acceptances being done after today is just conjecture. There could be some acceptances into April- there usually are.

Yeah, I'm hoping that moving up the ASW was intentional and that they'll be doing things a bit differently this year to try to boost their yield and/or shore up their medians/class earlier. But I really have no idea.teampeeta wrote:To be fair, the ASW is earlier this year than in previous years. All this talk about straight acceptances being done after today is just conjecture. looking on LSN, basically none of the people who applied from ~Jan 10 to whenever their deadline was have heard anything yet, so unless they are planning on WLing everyone who applied late, I'm guessing there will be some more decisions

Actually someone posted a rejection with a 1/27 complete date a couple of pages ago.

I'll try to do some recon at ASW. FWIW, I think that this scenario seems quite plausible.

Yeah, I'm sure they've sent out some auto-decisions, but I think it's plausible that they're still getting to the later apps that required complete review. I'm complete 1/8 and still waiting for what it's worth.Dr.Zer0 wrote:james.bungles wrote:looking on LSN, basically none of the people who applied from ~Jan 10 to whenever their deadline was have heard anything yet, so unless they are planning on WLing everyone who applied late, I'm guessing there will be some more decisions

Lol. I am trying to put my sarcastic self on a shelf and keep hope alive. This week has been rough. true, there are a few rejects for late january completes, but no decisions for Feb completes or the vast majority of Jan applicantsDr.Zer0 wrote:james.bungles wrote:looking on LSN, basically none of the people who applied from ~Jan 10 to whenever their deadline was have heard anything yet, so unless they are planning on WLing everyone who applied late, I'm guessing there will be some more decisions

Tried to find a gif I could steal of Leslie Knope saying
"Everybody pants now. Pants, pants, pants, pants"
But I couldn't

1) Thank you for this.muzzy wrote:andapieceoftoast wrote:(cue someone else who's more tech savvy)
Stanford, I'm clearly adept at posting gifs and would be at home in Silicon Valley.
2) EVERY time I see a post by you, I think to myself "Bonjouuurrr, je suis le grand Muzzy. Je suis la jeune fille!"
I always wondered why the girl said "I am the young girl"...like she's talking in 3rd person or something.
