Just got the 15k/year award.
Wasn't told anything about scholarships initially, emailed them requesting money 2 weeks ago.

Hola, I might be driving my arse from SoCal to DC in late August. If any Southern California monkeys are looking to lug themselves and their swag across the continent just like our pioneering ancestors once did (except in reverse and without dysentery), please contact me cuz (a) I would like to cut my costs and (b) I don't want to drive off a cliff by accident. I'll probably be driving a SUV so there may be room for several future debtors. My email is
dogsieik@gmail.com.

Just read over the intent to enroll form and was wondering if "I am pleased to accept Georgetown Law’s scholarship award and will be enrolling." is considered binding. The language from the deposit forms language seems much more lax saying: "I plan to enroll in the Juris Doctor program at Georgetown University Law Center beginning in Fall 2013." Curious about the exact legality of the former.

Read that, my question was more in reference to double depositing as opposed to remaining on a waitlist though
EDIT: Spoke to admissions, it is not binding

hyang1021 wrote:Hi guys I have a simple question which may have been answered, but I could not find a clear answer on this thread.
I just got admitted at GULC via phone call, and I was wondering if they put the scholarship offer in the envelope they send out to admitted students (I am still waiting for the envelope). It seems that TLSers had to contact the financial aid and ask for merit based scholarship, but I was not sure if that is the case for everyone, or only for those who were not offered a merit based scholarship.
Thank you in advance for your help!
(FYI, My stat is 162/174 and 3.87)
Are you international, and what number did the call come from? Sorry, I do not know the answers to your questions.

No, it isn't..and from what I've read, you usually need USA listed to be accepted? And since I haven't received snail mail or a ding/WL e-mail yet, I'm assuming that this was only my second post-complete update and I have a little more waiting to do.

Does anyone know what Georgetown's process/policy is for deferred enrollment? Wondering whether there is a deadline before which I need to submit a request, how often they grant them, etc. etc.

Anyone currently living in DC want to grab a drink sometime? I think it might be nice to know a few people before classes actually start.

How should I take it that I still have not received a decision? Status complete and the date has changed several times. I submitted several days before the application deadline.

I'm in the same boat. I already deposited elsewhere and sort of forgot I hadn't heard. Why wouldn't we have just been waitlisted or rejected?

In the same boat over here. I fully expected to receive an immediate rejection from GULC, but I'm starting to think that maybe, just maybe, there is a glimmer of hope at this point. I submitted around 2/26/2013, and went complete just a few days later.

Just received my acceptance via email today after applying in January, so apparently they are still searching.
Best of luck to those waiting.
