I just had quick question. My status updated today but I received no email. Does Chicago wait for physical mail or phone calls to render accepted decisions? Also, how are rejections sent?

I guess I'm lucky there's not a rejection letter sitting in my inbox.

Maybe slightly unrelated... but does Chicago historically use their waitlist? I heard that there are schools that they waitlist pretty much everyone, so not much of a point to wait.

Do people rolled over from ED go in the same pile as RD waitlists?

??? You ED'ed to Chicago with your numbers???
Actually I'm curious, if they were to accept you after being deferred, would you be forced to withdraw from Harvard?

I panicked after my 165 on the October LSAT and applied ED, assuming I'd get rolled over/WL'd but would get a small boost when I was reconsidered (I also sent in the "Why Chicago" essay they permitted in January). I did a lot better on my December retake, and am anxious to hear from them so I can coordinate ASW traveling.
The email I received in December said I would be reconsidered during the Regular Decision cycle. But my status checker says "Waitlist email sent 12/30" and my UR status has been stuck at that date. In hindsight, the ED move was probably a bad one--I likely blew my chance at big $$, and may end up committing elsewhere before I even hear back. That's why I'm curious if anyone knew if the people with postponed ED decisions really end up on the same waitlist as everyone else, in which case I prob won't be hearing from them for a while and can effectively move on with my cycle.

Offered squadoosh. Not a big surprise, although I was hoping for a token amount. It's going to be hard to justify Chicago with the other offers I have. Perhaps ASW will blow me away. Anyway, still happy enough with being admitted to not be bitter over a lack of financial courtship.

Still UR (first one) from 2/25. With 170, 3.9X, am I waitlist bound at this point? Trying to decide whether to plan to attend elsewhere. Some financial aid stuff was due elsewhere 5 days ago, and I didn't send it.

Buildings are not accessible without the student ID so I doubt you can walk by yourself

Actually, everything on the U of C campus is accessible without a student ID except the Regenstein library and the gym (even the law library). You can get a pretty good look at the gym by standing in the rotunda, though.

Submitted 1/08, UR 2/14, UR 3/06 (Sunday update? I'm impressed).
Can anyone tell me approximately how long it is between the 2nd UR and a decision? I browsed a couple pages back in this thread and didn't find a definite answer... though it seems like a decision may be in store for me this week.

UChi seems to announce their decisions in big batches once a month. 1/10 was a big day, 2/10 was a big day, and my guess is that 3/10 will be also be a big day. Take a peek at the UChi LSN data from last year to get a sense of what I mean.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
