I am coming out of short lived retirement to say lmao at what just happened here. To be sure, I like both crankberry and brooks.

That said, crankberryt that was totally unacceptable. For him to call u out after having deleted your post was an intolerable affront. You should have said you deleted bc the 1st version was INSUFFICIENTLY harsh, then maybe pmed him afterward. U think reagan would have taken such antics from the soviets? Practically unamerican...

From Chicago's Twitter: Busy day in the office and did not release any decisions today. We are still planning to release more decisions within the next few days.

I won't. I wasn't even sure if I should apply to Chicago at first, but I am glad I did. Unless I get rejected...then I want my $80 back.

The truth is I really respect Chicago. It's one of the few schools (with Yale, Harvard, NYU and Berkeley ....... yes that is blatant anti-Columbia trolling) that I would have considered/visited/waited for $$ offers from at this point. I think there is something to be said for the academic rigor of the school.

That said, it is the place where fun goes to die. My sister went to Chicago for UG. It was perfect for her. I think I would enjoy it for law school. But for UG, man oh man. She had a shirt that said, on the front, "The Top 5 Party Schools in the U.S." and the list was something like:

1. University of Wisconsin, Madison
2. University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill
3. University of Southern California
4. University of Texas, Austin
5. University of Florida

The back said: "The Bottom 5 Party Schools in the U.S." and the list was (exactly this time, the Top 5 were random):

296. U.S. Air Force Academy
297. U.S. Military Academy
298. BYU
299. U.S. Naval Academy
300. University of Chicago

And she wore it proudly!

Haha. Two schools right near the top of my law school list were #1 and #300.

To bring some optimism in to this thread, their twitter updated to: "Busy day in the office and did not release any decisions today. We are still planning to release more decisions within the next few days."

If they were simply going to waitlist/deny the rest of us, it seems like it would be fairly easy to send the email. The delay may mean that they are still reviewing the remaining 2/4 updaters.

ftfy. Shouldn't the most recent tweet tell even the most dispirited among you that more good news is coming? How busy could they be if they're just going to send out a bunch of a generic emails?

It may mean that they were too busy to deal with the status checker system and update the database. It couldn't be that easy to setup rejections and waitlists for everyone. The tweet also doesn't say they were busy with the 2/4 applications, as they could have moved on doing other things not related to my batch.

And it'd make sense for them to pick up where they left off on Friday with calling people if they were actually going to admit others.

But they didn't make any calls today. Just a tweet about "decisions" which = AXE.
