Re: Cornell c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
Just awarded a $75k scholarship. Way above 75th LSAT / slightly below 25th GPA splitter. Definitely wasn't need based at all (parents make decent money + have significant assets). Speculate away.

Re: Cornell c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
Just got a complete update from 1/17 to 3/26. This is my first update since their email informing me they were actively reviewing my file. This should imply a decision is coming soon right?
Good luck to all other applicants and congrats to all those receiving finaid!!

Blargh still nothing. Does anybody know if Cornell will send a finaid e-mail even if you're getting $0?

Re: Cornell c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
Submitted early December and went complete early January. I'm below both 25th percentiles so I don't know how it could be taking 10+ weeks to review me. Does that mean I may *actually* have hope?

I submitted 2/1, and Cornell's status checker hasn't budged from "verifying materials for completion" since 2/4. -.-

Re: Cornell c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
hold on im pretty sure my theory isn't totally demolished
Big Dog:
high numbers, 75th percentile (etc.) are all candidates that Cornell would definitely want, hence the generous 105K scholarship offer
WhiskeynCoke:
High LSAT but lower GPA, you got the split which came out to be 75k which is more than 45k if you were say below in both, your parents also are financially well off based on your information.
^ how do those 2 not fit into the theory?
Mac8 you are an anomaly, you're skewing my data

I'm sub-median gpa and high LSAT = $105k. Absolutely no financial need due to parent's income.BronxBlu21 wrote:hold on im pretty sure my theory isn't totally demolished

ph your LSAT of 174 is much higher than Cornell's range, do you think that may have played a factor in the 105k? I'd say the 174 makes you an ideal sought after candidate for Cornell and most law schools. I think in Cornell's case, anything above a 171 would get something close to the 105k.

Yeah probs --not tryna prove or disprove your theory, just fleshing out the details of my circumstance a little bit. My numbers twin, moonman, got the same offer.BronxBlu21 wrote:ph5354a wrote:I'm sub-median gpa and high LSAT = $105k.
