Sure! I was complete 1/27 then UR 2/14 and that was it.

I don't think you should be overly worried. On my call, the admission's guy acknowledged that it had taken a long time with my app. I finally went UR 1/27 and then again on 2/16. Others in my group went UR 1/27 and then were admitted 2/9, 2/11, etc. At UChicago, my app flew through: I got three reviews in 5 days and ended up with a ding. Which is to say, slow news may be good news in this cycle.

Mine did just now: It says "Offer of Admission" and the date reads 2/17.

Any thoughts on what will happen to those of us still stuck on our first UR 1/12? I submitted in November.

The top of the status checker says that every application is reviewed by two members of the committee. Does that mean two separate UR statuses? I hope they don't drag us into March when there aren't as many spots.

I think the status checker does update twice for everyone. But I don't think you should be worried about there being few spots left: with apps down, it seems many (if not most) school are holding on to apps (and correlatively spots) much longer than in previous cycles. Also, the ABA released data in mid-January that made it apparent that there are fewer applicants but more applications this year (meaning more applications per student). I think that is making schools hold on to apps longer to see if any applicants withdraw, thus protecting their yields. All that said, it seems LOCIs will play a central role in helping people gain admission.

Hello, for everyone who does not recognize me, I am the person who was unmercilessly flamed by everyone. I wanted to go to Penn before, but now I REALLY want to go to Penn simply for comedic value. I really want to meet all of you and im sure it is vice versa.

No one said anything particularly negative about it. Maybe it is the internet doesn't convey personality very well. Or maybe it does and all my friends are deuchebags and I am a King Deuchebag who is unable to see the world how it really is. Probably the latter

dude, i really hope you get into your first choice school, as i wish that for every applicant. it's impossible to know what component of your application or correspondence may be the thing that a school loves or chooses to pass over. your interest is to present the best version of yourself to an admissions committee, and if your email does that, then you should not worry what others think. the reality is, if you open yourself up for scrutiny, your TLS comrades will provide it. they are really, really good at scrutinizing, and they take no prisoners. good luck.

Finally UCR today! Went complete on 1/17... and congrats to the new admits!
