Re: Cornell 2011 applicants
Does anyone know if you can scan and email the Fin Aid stuff in or does it have to be snail mail? I ask because, by the time I would get an answer on Monday express mail would be the only way to get them the form and tax returns by the Tuesday deadline if it must be snail mail.

As long as it's postmarked by the 15th you should be fine.

I'm going to scan and email because I'm abroad. If they don't like it, well, they can tell me in three months.

Re: Cornell 2011 applicants
Alright, so i've been IR since 2/23 (my second date), and i am really worried. I submitted my app in mid-late november, and now have heard from almost every other school, and have received good scholarships to some other very good schools. I fear this late in the game i won't get any money, if i even get in. I have a fiance who was just recently accepted to a graduate program at cornell that is the best in the country, and I want to give her the opportunity to take advantage of it. I will be writing a letter of continued interest tonight and tomorrow, and submitting it before monday. I will be emailing it, where should i email it to? I should obviously mention my fiance, correct? My numbers are above both 75ths.

To all waiting Cornell folks -
Just ran into Professor Shiffrin this morning. He looked like he had just woken up and wasn't terribly happy to be on campus. He was, however, there to review applications. So I guess that's a good sign... Eh?

+3 I decided to poke my head in to make sure i wasn't the only one. Are you guys all pretty sure your apps are all set? I've been processing for about 2 months now and am starting to get paranoid.

It took mine 11 weeks I think? And I had my ducks in a row. And then I got in.
So don't worry, they're just really slow.

Re: Cornell 2011 applicants
I called them last week and they said that it's not because there is a problem with the app. The lady on the phone told me that it is completely normal to have the app processing for such a long time. Hopefully it means we will sit at complete for less timeFlanAl wrote:+3 I decided to poke my head in to make sure i wasn't the only one. Are you guys all pretty sure your apps are all set? If I don't hear something from Cornell this week I'm going to torpedo the OoA with LOR's.cmaas wrote:I called them last week and they said that it's not because there is a problem with the app. The lady on the phone told me that it is completely normal to have the app processing for such a long time. I think that will just further delay a decision on your file.

It means you'll go Complete in about a week. (I went Processing 1/11 - 3/2 - Complete 3/9)whirledpeas86 wrote:Okay, I just moved from "Processing 1/11" to "Processing 3/11"...

Then you stay Complete for another gazillion years.

How long do people usually stay at "complete"?
