Sounds like the right place to be for me! I am considering that I should be posting in this thread exclusively - so expect a lot of gibberish.
Maybe such dedication will warrant an acceptance?
I love how the thread exploded with only 1 acceptance. Oh, Stanford.

Haha, well if some of us ride the waitlist too it could get really long. Unfortunately I won't be able to ride the waitlist, as much as i'd like to

So they are now onto mid-Jan submitters. Since Dean Deal doesn't like the late submitters, that means they are almost through the 1st round. Excitement builds!

While I agree with this, I am ignoring this fact so I don't get my hopes up and am instead focusing on the fact that I WILL hear from Berkeley next week.

Really? I thought Stanford was a "holistic" school that claimed that submission date won't affect your chances. I know Yale is like that... am I mixing the two up?

Quick question that I'm sure has been answered several times in the thread. For Stanford LOCI, do they accept attachments or should I use the body of the email?

I think r6 meant that Dean Deal didn't "like" many of the late submitters as in "like [enough to admit them outright]."

They are now in mid-January? I guess that means most of us missed the first round of cuts. (Glass half full.)

Please speculate with me: Dean Deal's rejected a bunch of people, accepted a smaller handful of people, and then there's the rest of us. What percentage of total applicants do you suppose each group makes up?

I don't think that 75% are still standing TBH.
Since acceptance rate is like 8-9%. I'm guessing 5-6% have been accepted so far, and probably like 50% have been rejected, 45% hanging around. Of course this is pure speculation. Probably looking at the Decision Date graph is more useful.

Yeah, I bet you're right. I'm happy to be in the 45% still hanging around.
