So, so cruel.
I'm beginning to wonder if Yale Law School even exists. I think this is, in all probability, the law school admissions equivalent of The Truman Show. People are paying to watch us suffer. Meanwhile, CardinalRules, TomHobbes, BioBear, and the other "admits" are all paid character actors. Their role is to give us all false hope while occasionally providing comic relief.

At regular intervals, we're sent little bits of "information" to release to the guinea pigs so that everyone can watch their reactions. The idea is to provide just enough "facts" to create a veneer of reality while preserving the sense of glamorous mystery.

Thanks for sharing, ivorynightfall. It is interesting how last year most of the WLs came on 4/15, a Wednesday, but most of the rejections came on 4/20, the next Monday.

I'm just going to expect the worst (i.e. nothing) and maybe they'll surprise me, hopefully with a WL. I'm getting off this rollercoaster, but it's been a fun ride. There was thrill enough in avoiding that one round of rejection for my complete date. Thanks for that, Asha & company!

Well, I don't have my hopes up, but if we didn't have LSN, it would be a total bastardization of that twitter update (tweet? I still don't know the lingo) to assume it meant yesterday was the last day. All it says is "this is a big week."

I feel like I went through a full-cycle grieving process today. I actually came on here feeling cleansed and renewed. I'm going to continue in this happy state and just wait for the, inevitable, end of the week 'ding'. So much better than all this phone-clutching torture.

No, he thought about it, but it was too horrible to contemplate, and he mercifully decided not to write it down. Imagine Dante's suffering, knowing that as Yale wouldn't exist for hundreds more years, he had no chance of getting in.

So I almost had a heart attack today when I looked down at my phone and saw a missed call from a (203) number and the phone additionally said CT. Then I call back in shock and who answers the phone......
Optimum Voice Recording.. Yeah. They called to give a survey about a recent service update.
Cruel.

So the optimist/detective in me has recently developed a delightful theory.
Check out the complete dates on the people who were recently accepted (4/12 and 4/13) on LSN. The complete dates are 3/8, 3/9, 3/11, and 3/12 - all fairly late complete dates. Maybe the 12s from late batches of applications were notified these past two days and there's still room for the 11s coming up soon with the waitlists...
My optimism knows no bounds right now.

To repeat myself from above, they generally go out via snail mail, but sometimes they go out via e-mail at the end of the cycle (e.g., now).

Been travelling for a couple days... I suppose that if we didn't get a call this week we're bound for WL/Rejection? Not that I would be surprised or dejected, just want to wrap up my cycle at this point.

I forgot to mention it with all of the drama happening around here, but I withdrew a little while ago.

Can you define "a little while ago"?
Also, you never answered my question about which way you're leaning, which I took to mean you didn't want to answer it, which is fine. If, however, it was because you never saw it, please either post or PM.

Congrats on Stanford! I do have to say, CR has always come across as a really nice guy considering that with his cycle and numbers he could have been the biggest douche on TLS.
