Do we have to fill out the financial aid documents even if we haven't received a decision yet (is there a deadline for this?) ? And which documents?

Also this is a wave but definitely a small one. Slots are only available for two days.
Way to go, and thanks for the advice. Here's hoping that means we have an admissions meeting coming up!

Nope, only after admission.ohgosh wrote:Do we have to fill out the financial aid documents even if we haven't received a decision yet (is there a deadline for this?) ? And which documents?
"For admitted students there is no deadline to complete this step. We will open access to the main online HLS financial aid application in late February and the sooner after that date you complete your file by submitting all of your required documents, the sooner you will have your provisional HLS financial aid award offer from us. Throughout the spring we generally have a two week (10 business days) turnaround time from the point your last document is received to the point you will receive your award notification."

In case anyone was wondering, there are a few js1 slots on 2/28 and lots open on 3/1. Not much hope for next week for us waiting for JS2s.

Is there any point to sending a letter saying it's your top choice? I mean, it's Harvard... so of course it is up there for everyone. And is it uncool to do that before hearing back at all?

Does anyone know if Harvard (and other law schools) require a transcript update, or if it's just recommended/ not a huge factor?
My grades from last semester don't change my GPA at all so I was going to not bother sending it in, but I see other people doing it.

Congrats to everyone who got in during the Wednesday wave!!
I submitted late Nov, interviewed end of Jan, 25<LSAT<50, 50<GPA<75. Thought the interview went really well but radio silence still -_- when should I start worrying? I just want to hear something!

Would recommend it if and only if there is something you can update them with in there as well (new grades, promotion at work, big award, etc.)haley12 wrote:Is there any point to sending a letter saying it's your top choice? Now, here's hoping for a little Friday afternoon JS2 voodoo before they roll into all those interviews next week.

Re: Harvard Law c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
I felt pretty horrible after my interview. I was surprised by a few of the questions (I didn't get Why Harvard or Why Law at all, which was what I had prepared for) and I felt like I had been talking way too fast and may have come off as a little crazed. I did get a JS2 despite feeling like it went poorly, so I don't know if I was just overthinking what happened or if it was something else about my application that made up for it.dyebri wrote:CHyde wrote:+1 Give me something else to obsess over, plz.anonperson2017 wrote:I'm curious about the approx. 25% of people who get a JS1, but no JS2. A few months ago someone said they know people who had terrible interviews and got accepted; others had great interviews but weren't admitted. At the end of the day, the interview is just one piece of your entire appdyebri wrote:CHyde wrote:+1 Give me something else to obsess over, plz.anonperson2017 wrote:I'm curious about the approx. 25% of people who get a JS1, but no JS2. i felt mine was "eh". Nothing obviously awful happened but I didn't feel fantastic about it, like i did about some of my other interviews. Still got a JS2 thoughanonperson2017 wrote:I'm curious about the approx. 25% of people who get a JS1, but no JS2. non URM LSAT >75 GPA = 50

Yo, I know I'm late on this one (haven't been checking the thread) but one of us needs to leave forever. The TLS HLS 2020 applicants thread is not big enough for two usernames referencing Ulysses.bloomsday wrote:In! Complete in SEPTEMBER, JS1 early February. GPA<25, LSAT>>>75.
