Not really relevant to the current discussion of this email (fyi I did not get one nor do I have an update on my status checker for the review of my app or the e-mail) but is anyone else weirded out by the fact that they could definitely pick Nnenne Okorafor, '15 out of a crowd in a heartbeat thanks to this status checker page???

Just got the email. Applied early January, UR1 since 1/20. Wondering if they sent these to everybody since (a) I have not been under review for that long and (b) NYU is a reach for me with my stats.

I am in a similar boat. Applied 1/1 and I went complete 1/4 Applied for both RTK and FASP but appear to still be a UR1. NYU is a total reach for me, but I have great PI related softs as a nonprofit professional for 12 years and 2 master degrees. I thought for sure today was my rejection. However, now I have a bit of hope? I know from LSN that many people with similar numbers have been rejected already that applied at the same. I had to switch from the Feb LSAT to June and called to let them know early Feb.

Maybe their holistic approach will allow me to be accepted or waitlisted. The devastating part about a WL is no RTK scholarship, however, I'd take a WL over a rejection! There is not a date for the FASP interviews on the website.

Love that show... Raffi is life. How Did This Get Made is a pretty great podcast with Raffi and Andre that's pretty great.

I think my favorite line from that show ever is the Kevin Costner, Whitney Houston, and Michael Jackson exchange between Raffi and Ruxin. I just could not stop laughing after that.

I keep seeing everyone talking about UR1 UR2 etc.. how do you know which one you are? and what impact does it have on your app? my status checker just says your file is under review

I hate not knowing the lingo someone please help?!

Anyone know the email address I should send an updated resume to? law.moreinfo@nyu.edu is the one that sent out the "we didn't forget about you" email, but I feel like if I just reply to that it might not go to the right place.

That's the correct one. I had the same thoughts a couple days ago, but got a prompt reply next business day.

no worries! i was quite confused at first as well.. so I'm sure you know that UR = Under Review
You can check dates by consistently checking your application status page to see whether the date under the "Status" box changed or not

Does anyone know if getting a financial aid package without getting a finalist notification for named scholarship means that you're not under consideration for that scholarship? Under final review still, but if one of you AnBryce/RTK finalists gets a financial aid package before your interview it would be really comforting.

Unless they've changed the process from last year, you have to no longer be under consideration for a named scholarship to receive a general scholarship offer. However, I also received an email specifically letting me know that I was no longer being considered for a named scholarship before I was put in the general pool. So if you never got that communication, it may be worth checking in with financial aid to see what your status is.

A page or so ago someone said that on last year's thread, there were decisions pretty soon thereafter even for some people who got that email. So I'm really hoping it's just as chill as Michigan's "hang tight" letter!
