I feel the same way re H and S. (Yale was my first choice initially, but around December/January I started to realize how awesome Stanford is and it became my #1)juicebox wrote:Early Dec submit here. S has always been my #1 but when I got H without a peep from S I think I started subconsciously writing off S in my mind. But if I got in I would be absolutely thrilled, albeit disappointed that I wouldn't be able to make it for ASW.IrishJew wrote:Sorry all the DLS dings yesterday.
Crazy that there are decisions going out today; now I'll be glued to my phone. Honestly I've sort of written off Stanford insofar as evaluating my options goes, though if I get in I'll obviously be over the moon and I'd happily throw my Boston plans away (S is the only school I'm still waiting on). How are other people still waiting feeling about this? Are you holding out hope, making other plans, or what?
Early Nov submit, splitter, non-traditional with unusual (in a good way) softs.

Moving forward without completely committing until the last glimmer of hope fades away. Stanford is a dream, but why the hell not?IrishJew wrote:Sorry all the DLS dings yesterday.

Just got an early morning email from Faye Deal herself..!!!
Stats:
LSAT- below 25th; GPA above median.
Excellent softs/probably 'nontraditional', depending on how this term is construed.
I'm happy to provide more information via PM. Hold onto your hats, guys; it looks like there's still good news to come!

It is a major first world "problem"-- I can't believe it! All I can say is that my current state is the emotional antonym of the dejection I felt this fall when LSAC summarily denied my [objectively reasonable and well-substantiated] accommodations requests twice over.
Anyways, thanks for the congrats guys; I'm rooting for you, as always.

Re: Stanford c/o 2017 (2013-2014 applicants)
Got in this morning.
Have to choose between H and S now... I didn't think I'd get into either of these schools so this is a crazy dilemma. I should have applied to Yale I guess.
EDIT for numbers:
LSAT: 173
GPA: 3.8
Non-URM
Softs aren't anything to write home about.

Does Dean Deal call your listed day phone, or your cell phone (if they're different)?

Thanks everyone. And I submitted way back in October. I'm going to go if I can scrounge up the money to make the trip, really short notice though.

DLS. (check everyday, so it was either after 7:30pm EST yesterday or today)
LSAT > 75%, GPA ~50%
strong softs. submit in Dec.
