Re: Eternal, Never Off the First Page, WUSTL is the Best Thread.
Mary Ann loved the sound of clinking silver against her tea cup in the morning. It was only lately that she began taking sugar with her tea. It was last month that she had switched to English Breakfast after finishing in a weekend the entire series of the original House of Cards in anticipation for the American release. She rather liked Kevin Spacey, but she was apprehensive that he could possible live up to Richardson’s portrayal of Francis Urquhart. So for now, until she found the time over spring break to cozy into a nice comforter and watch the entire new season on her iPad, Mary Ann took her tea with two cubes of sugar in the morning, leaving a slight trace of a high British accent on her tongue until early afternoon.
“Dean?” came a faint voice through the crack in her office door.
Courtney was always the first to arrive in the morning, ever diligent in her assignments. Mary Ann quite appreciated her particular adeptness at monitoring their reputation among the various message boards and Facebook groups. Mary Ann was shaking things up this year, shaking them up in this dry, dusty world that is law. She knew that WUSTL was eternally the best, and she intended to make this fact known to the world. It was time USNWR fell in line. It was time that she, I guess you could say, put a bit of stick about.
“Yes, Courtney?”
“You told me to let you know if the TLS thread was acting up again, so I thought you might want to see this.”
Oh, bollocks. What were they up to again? The flap over apparel, while initially a bother, had resolved quite nicely. She had spoken with the trouble makers, headed by one Xs20, herself, and in exchange for their utmost loyalty to this office they were put in charge of the secret apparel overhaul committee. Xs had proved slightly unruly, however, as his drunken binges often resulted in crude, though humourous, iterations of fashion. He wasn’t too much trouble, though; he easily fell in line once he sobered up. I’m loving it, indeed.
The Dean followed Courtney to her desk. “What is all this, then?”
Courtney pulled up the TLS thread. She showed the Dean where the students had noticed that scholarships were coming out slightly behind schedule this year. Mary Ann had already leaked that information to her whip, Cuse, but some posters were reluctant to believe him. Now it appears that everything was unfolding accordingly.
“Look,” Courtney pointed out posts toward the bottom of the page, the thread page count quickly surpassing all records. “They’re breaking! Some are so enamored with St. Louis, they may even pay sticker! I, I think our campaign might be working. They may have finally realized that Midwest is best. I let it leak that we were open this morning since there were a few people thinking we actually took days off during the height of admissions season. I know we usually do this on a Friday, but I think this is perfect timing to make our first wave of scholarship offers.”
“You might very well think that,” Mary Ann said with a grin. “I couldn’t possibly comment.”

Really want to give MAC a buzz but we (Cuse) might be bordering on nagging her as it is.

That was glorious. I bet Ms. Clifford would get a kick out of that.

Did no one get their WUSTL decision today? I just got two decisions seemingly back to back from other schools. Haven't seen any movement in this thread though. Good luck to those still waiting.
