Same, complete 2/22.[/quote]
Is that a type or were you really complete 2/22? Seems like a quick turn-around considering the other completion dates hearing back.

Having some major issues with the Financial Aid Award checker on the admitted students website. I've emailed Michigan to no avail. Anyone know what the turnaround time is like for getting admitted -> scholarships? Does it come via email?

I'll trade you my Michigan acceptance for your Stanford acceptance. I'll even throw in a Vandy acceptance. You can keep your Harvard acceptance.amonthofsundays wrote:Forever complete

Nahhh. I am just trying to complete my cycle. The S and H acceptances are amazing but the risk adverse part of me wont feel settled until I have at least one T14 with $$$ to consider. But considering the number of WLs I've been sent to I think that just may not happen.BigZuck wrote:I'll trade you my Michigan acceptance for your Stanford acceptance. My appeals process went pretty quickly. I'd get a reply the next business day or two. When was the last time you heard back from them?ohpobrecito wrote:Has anyone else not heard anything from financial aid?

Does it feel like Michigan has waitlisted an above average number of applicants this year, or is it just that everyone who's been waitlisted is part of this forum?

I appealed when they said that I wasn't eligible for need-based aid, and then after a week or so of back and forth they finally told me to submit the need access, which I did two weeks ago. They say that you normally receive an offer within two weeks of your file being complete (which mine was as of two weeks ago), so I don't know. Just getting antsy.smdpnp wrote:My appeals process went pretty quickly. I'd get a reply the next business day or two. I emailed them with competing offers and asking them to evaluate my need based aid and they flat out rejected me, although very politely and kindly soohpobrecito wrote:I appealed when they said that I wasn't eligible for need-based aid, and then after a week or so of back and forth they finally told me to submit the need access, which I did two weeks ago. So let's say that you receive no merit aid and no need-based money, they still email you right? I assume they eventually have to send you the wolverine access login stuff.

I have heard absolutely nothing either and it has been 15 days since I submitted my application. I am an international student though so I feel like all of the financial aid stuff is taking longer than it normally would.ohpobrecito wrote:I appealed when they said that I wasn't eligible for need-based aid, and then after a week or so of back and forth they finally told me to submit the need access, which I did two weeks ago. are you being serious? in case you are, yes. We're not eligible for federal loans but are eligible for need and merit based aid.qwertyboard wrote:International students are eligible for financial aid?VeeD101 wrote:

Merit aid, I would assume so since it's institutional and discretionary. Federal student loans, obviously no.

Well, its almost April and if you are an international student, I would assume you knew that you're eligible for aid. Unless you don't have any financial needs. In which case, I envy your obliviousness.qwertyboard wrote:Sorry, I missed the part where it was obvious.VeeD101 wrote:are you being serious? in case you are, yes. The federal student loan system is for the exclusive use of legal citizens. Institutional aid, since the institution is essentially just choosing not to charge you some amount of tuition, is available to any matriculant. I won't weigh in on whether or not that should be obvious at this point in the game.
