Yep... Decisions by "end of April" seem like that may be code for "send out mass rejections on Monday" :/

Optimistically I'm imagining some people might withdraw at the last minute or miss the first deposit deadline (May 1st, right?). By keeping us on the hook as opposed to WLing us already, Stanford will be more likely to get an acceptance from us vs. someone off the waitlist as we haven't completely committed to another LS. Pessimistically, our clones are just taking their sweet time to get a deposit in and a bloodbath will follow shortly.

My Thursday DLS turned out to be a waitlist. I guess I'll ride it out and hope my doppelganger gets a better offer from somewhere else.

I was looking for Dean Deal's advice on being wait listed and I found this: http://blogs.law.stanford.edu/admission ... st-update/

I'm not sure what it means that "a small group of applicants have a May 10th deposit deadline," but my guess is that those people were admitted around May 1st. This post is from 2 years ago, but it might bode well for those of you who are still standing. Good luck!

(And if one of you out there is my doppelganger, please go somewhere else so I can have your spot!!)

I feel like a total newb, but what does "DLS" stand for?

I've been waiting to hear from Stanford since late October. Nothing. Nada. Le sigh. It's my last school to hear from!

The status checker will say Decision Letter Sent once decision letter's sent. Unless Dean Deal calls you, DLS means WL or reject.
