I think many of you will find this technical. I regard my chances at obtaining admission as quite low, particularly after the wait. (173, 3.39). In that spirit I sent the following email. What do you guys think?

To whom it may concern:

In the months following my applications submission, it has become clear to me the University of Pennsylvanias School of Law is the ideal institution for continuing my legal education. Should the privilege of admission be extended I would attend. It Is my opininion this expressed sentiment would be binding, if not technically, in the same manner by which a Binding Early Decision is. Invariably, it is Penn's prerogative to accept, disregard or laugh at this statement. I simply wished to express the sentiment. Thank you for taking the time to evaluate my application.

Yeah, assuming that this is not a flame (and the fact that people are thinking flame should be an indication to you that this is not a good letter), I'll offer some advice. First - don't send this letter. Second - rewrite, and try to strike a more natural tone. You want to be respectful, but not like curtsying-to-the-queen-of-England respectful. Write like you are talking to your boss. Third - get someone to proofread the new draft because as others have said, there were some typo's.

Congratulations! Seems like you wouldn't be remiss to call back to say "thank you." Northeastern left me an acceptance message and I called them back and left them a message. They didn't call me back but I wasn't exactly expecting them to.
