OK...this is going to sound like I'm really behind so I apologize in advance, but for Cornell were we supposed to apply for $$ or do they just give it out?

Summary:

1. Fill out FAFSA
2. Fill out NeedAccess
3. Complete Cornell Law School Financial Aid Sheet
4. Submit 2010 parent tax returns
5. Submit your 2010 tax returns

The deadline I believe is March 15 and I think that's all you need...I could be terribly mistaken though.

Even if all you want is Merit Aid, you're still required to fill all of this out I think.

Current Status: Deferred to regular applicant pool
Current Status Date: 12/14/10

My stats are 3.27/170. Been out of school since 2003. Own two companies so plenty of work experience on my resume. My GPA is pretty low. Is that why I'm at the bottom of the review list or are there other reasons? Not sure why its taking so long to be reviewed. Do I still have a shot this late in the game?

New to the thread so don't know if it's already been covered, but FWIW, this is what my email read:

Your application and supporting materials were received by our February 1st deadline. Because your application is considered on-time you should receive a decision by early April.

New to the thread so don't know if it's already been covered, but FWIW, this is what my email read:

Your application and supporting materials were received by our February 1st deadline. Because your application is considered on-time you should receive a decision by early April.

My complete email (wednesday) said this too, even though I know they didn't get my deans cert until a couple of days ago. I wonder if they'll still give me a decision in early april though.

Yeah -- I was deferred on 11/24/10. Haven't had any movement since.

Did they require a dean's certificate? I'm complete, but I know I didn't send one in, and I don't remember seeing it on the app.

This may be silly but... I filled out my FAFSA already. Do I still need to do the Cornell FInancial Aid Sheet and NeedAccess (I probably won't qualify for need-based aid)? I haven't heard anything since I was deferred 12/14.

^^Maybe that's what I should start doing- applying for shit as if I've already been accepted (lo). First thing Monday morning I'm calling to get my housing assignment, asking the FA office for more money, and speaking to the dean about class scheduling, clinics, and student orgs. (lol)

Nevermind. Dean's cert only required if you answered yes to a question. But everyone who matriculates has to get one anyway I guess?
