+1. Can't Cornell do what Illinois is doing? The dean keeps updating the latest news here and answer questions to relieve applicants from the stress. i think he has done quite a good job.SanBun wrote:yes, i am also thoroughly disgustedSHARK WEEK! wrote:Phew. (In response to the other Octoberers). Well, based on my numbers, I wouldn't be surprised if I am held over. But, I would be in shock if Cornell discounts my 168 this year in hopes of raising their median above that. I mean, this year is extra competitive, I know, but you'd think they'd try to move their median to 168 and their 75th perhaps to 169, and I thought I wrote a pretty solid PS and have some strong extras in the bag. I know of course that they are seeing a TON of 168s this year, so not trying to make myself out as if I am something special, but come on!
The more this waiting process goes on (for every school I am still waiting on), the more disgusted I become at how numbers-centric law admissions are. If they interview business students at business schools, you'd think that law schools would take even more precaution when admitting their students. Instead, you get two f-ing numbers and that's it! You're in or out.![]()

Good luck to all of you who went to Decision today. It's nice to see they're finally getting around to the mid-November EAC'ers.
As for me, I'm still at EAC 11/11.

Still EAC 11/13. Arggh. I have a sinking feeling I am going to be the LAST person they decide on, and then after everything I'll be deferred.

I'm still at EAC 11/20 (I went complete earlier with RD and got the email asking if I wanted to switch to EA, which I did).
Oh, and this thread is way too long to wade through. Have there been any acceptances yet? Or have all of the DRs so far been deferrals/rejections?

Thanks Roxj. Good luck to you. They're starting to get to people who went EAC the second week of November, so if the stars all aligned, perhaps we'll get DR this week?roxj wrote:There have finally been acceptances, but mostly deferrals and some rejections.

Still EAC 11/09
I'd complain, but I have seen a few early October folks who are still EAC, so I'll try to be patient.
