got the FR email today... pretty stoked actually. Still alive w my LSAT... I'll take it. Hopefully the committee has had their coffee and a good night's rest when they open up my app. Good luck to everyone that got the message.

FR, >75% LSAT, above median GPA. UR 11/18. Now I kind of feel like I'm competing for the last wildcard spot...

FR e-mail today. I know the chances aren't amazing, but I'm excited and thankful that there's still some hope left!

I am so confused right now. Are you all convicted war criminals who wrote your PS in esperanto or are they rolling dice to see who gets in?

Maybe some YP for those who applied a little later? Boalt tends to like early applications.

A possibility. I sure as hell hope so, cause if they care about their yield enough to FR a whole bunch of people who are numerically auto-admits, then I'm getting in for sure with that crazy (and honest) promise I made on my PS about withdrawing everywhere else if I got in...

I applied in Oct with 4.0/170....wrote LSAT again in December and got a 174...

Held also at Harvard after an early JR1...

The New Yr is not treating me well..

People with lower stats who applied later than me were accepted earlier in the cycle, so I was almost sure that I was going to review.

I'm 11/2 also, your stats are too good not to still be in consideration. Maybe there is another round of acceptance emails being saved for tomorrow

what is the latest day UR + no admit + faculty review = doom? I was UR 12/14...a couple people from that batch got decisions but i did not. am i still in the game??

I was UR 11/9 before getting the +1 today, so you're easily still in the game.

Faculty Review isn't bad by the numbers...

According to the website: http://www.top-law-schools.com/boalt-hall.html

Berkeley receives 7100 applications...
1400 - 1600 are sent to FR
they accept 200 of these making the % of accepted 14.2 - 12.5% depending on if its 1400 or 1600

And the other 5500 are decided upon by Administrative Review (AR) aka Dean Tom himself
and of those roughly 550 are accepted meaning the % of AR acceptances are 10%

i know there are subtle nuances such as that AR may be 10% of a less competitive pool....but still strictly by numbers it is not a bad thing...
