The status checker has been of essentially no use to me. Does it actually help anyone in any way?

Complete 10/28. HELD! YAYY.
The one hold I'm super happy about.

Re: Harvard 2010!
Held via e-mail today. A bit disappointed, but beats a WL or rejection.
Submitted 10/17, under review since 10/23, and had a JR1 just before Thanksgiving. This is a bad sign, but this may be related to my <25% LSAT + URM status (URMs with lower-than-median numbers usually have slow cycles, I'm told).

A little surprised but I still think you will be accepted no later than the end of Feb.Core wrote:Held via e-mail today. A bit disappointed, but beats a WL or rejection.

I went complete before most of you who were held or had JR1s or whatever. I was complete 10/8 and have heard nothing since. I don't even know what to think now but it can't be good...

I think most of us will be stunned if there is any other outcome. Good luck, Core!PoorOrpheus wrote:A little surprised but I still think you will be accepted no later than the end of Feb.Core wrote:Held via e-mail today. A bit disappointed, but beats a WL or rejection.

Nothing to report here.Core wrote:Crackberry...?
So for all of you who've been held, your status checker has updated the UR date right? I thought maybe I'd been held and the email had just slipped through the cracks or something but my UR date is still 9/28.

Re: Harvard 2010!
I think that a LOCI that included some new information about you (e.g., a recently published paper, an academic award) could help. But just a letter that says that you really want to go to Harvard? I think that's probably useless. They're not UVA.jrgong wrote:are you guys on hold going to send LOCIs? or is this useless since its HLS

Has anyone on "hold" received any additional notice (deny/accept/reject)?
Thoughts on when movement from "hold" may occur?

Just got the "hold" email 30 minutes ago. Applied 10/27, LSN in profile. Better than a rejection!

Re: Harvard 2010!
My UR date was updated on 1/6, but I still haven't gotten a hold e-mail. I'm expecting one (especially given my similarity to those who have been held), but so far nothing. Anyone in the same situation? Updated UR date but haven't heard crap about your status? And no JR1 either.crackberry wrote:Nothing to report here.Core wrote:Crackberry...?

So I submitted my application at the end of September and I am currently under review 10/7 and have heard nothing. My numbers are questionable (3.7x GPA from a top 15 university and 175 LSAT) and I'm a legacy but I am preparing for the worst. Probably only bad news coming right?

Re: Harvard 2010!
Quite odd. Your numbers definitely give you a serious chance of admission. Though you certainly should have heard something: JR1, hold, rejection by now as pretty much everyone else with your dates has. If I were you I'd start thinking about calling. But yea, I'd be shocked if you were outright rejected.ZooMan88 wrote:So I submitted my application at the end of September and I am currently under review 10/7 and have heard nothing. the Rolling process is wearing on me hard. I would much rather prefer even monthly or quarterly dates when all communications for the time being would be sent out. That way I don't keep checking each day, every hour, every minute

No hold, no JR1 here. Thought I had a pretty decent shot for a waitlist, but it looks like I might just get outright rejected. Bah.

Haven't been held as of yet. And I've gotten no JR1. I don't like the combo.CordeliusX wrote:Why? Why doesnt it look like you might get held?JollyGreenGiant wrote:No hold, no JR1 here. Thought I had a pretty decent shot for a waitlist, but it looks like I might just get outright rejected. Bah.

Agreed! Even though I know the rejection is coming eventually, it feels good to know that at least for a very brief moment, at least one person on the admissions committee may have considered that I might be worth admitting eventually.Saya wrote:Complete 10/28. Bye? lol : byobama wrote:Hey guys. What did JR say at the end of your JR1?
"We're sending your file to faculty review and we'll get back to you in 4-6 weeks."
JR2 was about three weeks later in (I think) the first substantial wave after the holidays
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
