Thoughts on writing a "Why X" essay and submitting it after your application has gone complete? I'm worried I might get dinged or WL from a school like UPenn because I haven't shown enough interest

Anybody else concerned about being on the young side? I'm not going to turn 21 till a few months into school and am a little worried that starting younger than everyone else might impact me socially or professionally.

I don't think socializing should be an issue. Sure you can't go to bar reviews for a while, but their will be a lot of other activities you can do, and there are some students who don't drink. Can't really comment on how you will be viewed upon professionally. If anything just dress and act mature and you should be ok.dasq5511 wrote:Anybody else concerned about being on the young side? Most of us will just be 1-3 years older than you, so there shouldn't be that much difference between us.

Re: TLS c/o 2020 Applicants (new poll)
I've been there once, but I can't really remember anything worth seeing outside of the obvious (the fortress, the Lightner museum, Flagler College). I didn't get to see the lighthouse, but I assume it would be nice. I also didn't get to go on a ghost tour, which I generally enjoy (more for the morbid history than because I actually believe in ghosts - I've done several in other historic cities and would recommend them).proteinshake wrote:going on a mini vacation to St Augustine, any recommendations?
I also wasn't old enough to drink when I was there, so I can't suggest any bars

It's Friday the 13th.
I don't know what that means for us but want to toss it out there.

I'll be leaving behind all of my friends and family when I go to law school (most likely) so I'm going to have to make a completely new friend group, something I haven't done since freshman year of high school
Only spent the first 10years or so of my life as one, but as a result moving has never been a "big deal" for me. Then again, I've never left the southeast so maybe I've never had a "big" move.

I'm not that superstitious, but I'd be pretty okay not hearing from schools today.pretzeltime wrote:It's Friday the 13th.
