JS2 within the last half hour or so!!! Via voicemail, though--basically the only time all day I'd been away from my phone, of course.
K-JD, GPA>75, 50<LSAT<75. JS1 invite 11/24.

JS2! I kept it together when JS called, but as soon as she hung up I cried. PM for whatever you'd like to know, and best of luck to all of you!
Edit: I interviewed 1/16

JS2. Got the call 10 mins ago. JS1 fucking 10/27 or something....

EDIT: To all those still waiting from early waves, I'm from the very first JS1 wave...so hang in there, even if you haven't heard back it doesn't mean you're held or waitlisted!

Also if anyone is interested, this thread has reported a total of 125 JS1s, and 61 JS2s (also 7 rejections).
At this point, that's slightly under 50% for JS1 -> JS2.

As someone from the 11/24 JS1 wave, how worried should I be about no JS2? Are we at like 6/18 for that wave now, or is it even higher?pylon wrote:Also if anyone is interested, this thread has reported a total of 125 JS1s, and 61 JS2s (also 7 rejections).

AND of today's wave, we had a pretty even representation of JS1s.
There were 10 JS2s offered. 1 received the invitation in October, 3 in November, 3 in December, 2 in January, and 1 unknown.

Yeah, my count is 6/18 for that wave. TBH I don't really know what to make of these numbers, but I don't think I'd be worried yet. Individuals who interviewed earlier than 11/24 have been accepted in the past two days, so they're definitely going back (and not only accepting the newest batch of interviews).RedColossus wrote:As someone from the 11/24 JS1 wave, how worried should I be about no JS2? Re: Harvard c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
"Worried" is an interesting question, and unfortunately it's near impossible to say. I'm typically overly optimistic, so my response would be: My impression is HLS hasn't made half of their offers yet. HLS clearly liked something in your application to give you a JS1, and a JS1 so early at that. It seems like they're still reviewing applications with interviews in Oct/Nov, so I wouldn't be worried. On the other hand, no-one really knows what's going on behind doors - and it is an unfortunate reality that they overlooked you for the past JS2 waves. So, should you be worried? I don't think so. But I would be cautiously optimistic.chanandler wrote:Should I be worried since I received a JS1 before 11/24 and have yet to hear back?

Re: Harvard c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
I wouldn't worry at all until a JS1 wave after yours hits >50% (or maybe even 75%, since that's around the overall post-JS1 acceptance rate) of people with JS2s without you hearing anything. They seem to be hitting that threshold roughly in chronological order, whereas the odd couple of people grabbed from later waves doesn't seem to say much about any particular early wave's situation.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
