Thoughts on LOCI here before a wl? I've been UR since mid dec

i sent one, then i was WL'd; but i'm below both medians and not an URM/Minority.

This is a good attitude. I would suggest that no one apply for law school until they absolutely max out their LSAT score. Even if you did get into you top choice school, there is always the possibility for more money with a higher LSAT.

So many people feel like they just can't wait another year, but as someone who waited 8 years before going back to college I can promise you one a one-year delay isn't a death sentence. Honestly, gaining some life experience and maturity before returning to school was perhaps one of the best things I have ever done for myself. I certainly don't see those as wasted years.

To be honest, if I do sit out the year I'll probably be pretty miserable, but I'll be able to grind it out knowing that I'm going to save money or improve job prospects by doing so. We'll see how the rest of my cycle plays out and how I score in June. I won't really know what I'm doing until then.

I'm truly saddened and frustrated by the way my cycle has been going. I tried my best and it just doesn't seem to be good enough. Who knows, maybe at the end of the day everything works out okay but in the meantime this really sucks and its becoming difficult to stay positive.

I think with your LSAT, you will get off the UVA waitlist if you apply enough pressure/interest, and when they realize they need you for their median, they will probably throw $ too. Don't give up.

Don't be disheartened. Honestly, just put your heart into writing those LOCI. And give it until after the first deposit deadline, I'm sure you'll get off the waitlist of at least one of the schools. Out of curiosity, did you write 'why x' letters?

I didn't. To be honest my previous LSAT was considerably lower and with my GPA, none of these schools were even on my radar until I got my Dec. LSAT score from where I immediately rushed to get my apps out ASAP.

That should help. I feel like I got into every school I wrote a sincere why x letter too and got waitlisted by everyone else. Schools just want to be loved and they'll love you back, hopefully
