Nope, you are not alone (although it seems to be just us and musketeerlady...). I went complete on 10/8, and I have heard diddly squat. No JR1. Nothing.

Well we're in slightly different places. Core and I had November JR1s. You and musketeer lady haven't heard anything in over 3 months. Brutal.

this may be a dumb question, but what are jr1s and jr2s? i plan to apply to harvard next year. can anyone explain the steps of the application process to me?

its funny how often this question comes up.

JR= dean of admissions (initials)

first you submit your app...then..

JR1 email = email from admissions office to schedule a phone interview
JR1 = phone interview (10 minutes)
JR2 = another phone call..."congrats you are in!"

A group of JR2 comes out each Monday. If you don't get a JR1, you have no shot. If you get a JR1 but no JR2 you are in purgatory (see appropriate thread). The nominal case is to get a JR2 the monday after your interview.

Just got the hold email. Submitted late October, complete 11/5.

i got the hold email also. he said we should send an updated transcript to lsdas? will all of your schools see the transcript if this happens or do certain schools have to re-request it?

I've also been held as of 5 minutes ago. Went complete 10/28, no JR1. I guess this is better than a rejection!

i spoke with someone at LSAC about this recently and she assured me that it automatically goes out to all schools that originally requested your file, within 7-10 business days.

Probably stupid, but do we know about how the review process at HLS works? Other than that at some point JR sees it for JR1/2 purposes.

Just curious, when people say "Complete 11/XX" do you mean that's the date you received a complete email, or that's when you went complete on the status checker? I ask because I also submitted on 10/28 and didn't get a complete email until 11/19, but was UR 11/3.

For me, it was an 11/5 complete email, but on the status checker I was UR 10/28.

I was complete via email on 11/5 but complete via status check on 10/28. My JR1 was on 12/15.
