Congrats to all the new admits!
Not sure how useful this is to anyone else, but I am finally complete today after 2+ weeks of waiting. Maybe they're processing all the later applicants now.

so, question, submitted my app in mid december, went complete in early January
had my JS1 about a week ago. my application status still reads "complete" and not "under review." does that ever change?

Outside of flunking classes or committing a felony is there a way to have admission revoked? What if one was to randomly drop a full grade point or something? Just out of curiosity, not planning a bank job.

Re: Harvard c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015 Cycle)
At this point, it's virtually impossible for your GPA to change significantly, so that's not a huge factor, save for flunking all your classes, which may get admission revoked. Think of it from the admissions committee perspective: what, if you learned of it, would cause you to go, you know what, that's really bad, let's pull that person's offer? It's a higher bar than "let's not offer this person admission in the first place" but some things I could think of are C+F issues, dropping out of your graduate program before a degree is awarded, felonies as you said, or learning of something you failed to disclose on your application.Orion311 wrote:Outside of flunking classes or committing a felony is there a way to have admission revoked? Wait until April before losing hope.KissMyAxe wrote:Hey guys, wanted to get your input on this since HLS has been my dream for years. I was in the December 4 JS1 group. My LSAT is at the 75th and my GPA is just under median. Does it look like I got passed over and I should expect a waitlist or ding? Or would you personally wait a few more weeks before losing hope?

I wouldn't worry at all. I wouldn't think of it as getting passed over. Remember, we have no idea how it all really goes down so there is no reason to expect a WL or a ding.KissMyAxe wrote:Hey guys, wanted to get your input on this since HLS has been my dream for years. i'd also note that even if you do end up on the WL you shouldn't lose hope. best luck!

I agree with the above. However, it's probably safer to avoid saying anything too dumb on here. Lots of rumors about who reads this site, so be careful.antiworldly wrote:At this point, it's virtually impossible for your GPA to change significantly, so that's not a huge factor, save for flunking all your classes, which may get admission revoked. Not exactly rumors at this point -- according to one of the admits from the first wave, JS mentioned the poll at the top of this thread when she called him/her (don't recall gender). She definitely reads TLS, and probably knows who a lot of us are based on stats and dates, interview details, reports of JS1s/JS2s immediately upon receiving them, etc.HorseThief wrote:I agree with the above. i think a decent level of neuroticism is justified and it also shows our interest, im pretty sure JS wont use anything on TLS against us, barring a serious lack of respect or commitment?LetsGoMets wrote:

There's a bunch of us still waiting, we just gotta stay positive. Plus, you can always console yourself with the fact that you have a full scholarship to one of the 5 best law schools in the country!KissMyAxe wrote:Well, it's a long, unique story that would definitely out me to the adcomms. Yeah, I honestly don't see how this would be an issue. It's a bunch of people discussing the admission process to HLS. Who cares if they know who you are? It's not like I'm concerned they might see that I am extremely interested in attending, and actively concerned with the outcome.kadyevna wrote:i think a decent level of neuroticism is justified and it also shows our interest, im pretty sure JS wont use anything on TLS against us, barring a serious lack of respect or commitment?LetsGoMets wrote:
