Yeah. I know you can extend the scholarship deadline with NYU, and some people called into CLS on the deadline to ask for their scholarship awards. That seemed to expedite things.Nelson wrote: Reading last year's C/O 2014 thread, it looks pretty ugly. Apparently Columbia's finaid office tends to be by far the slowest and not at all considerate of deposit deadlines at other schools. Lots of people in there with UChi deposit deadlines and NYU scholarship deadlines passing without hearing from Columbia. Hooray.

Re: Columbia c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
Do you guys think it is pointless to send in a LOCI if waitlisted with sub-par stats? Considering that many people with better stats than me were WLed, I can't help but think of the waitlist as a soft rejection/ hopeless cause for me. Unless I was able to, like, add a Nobel Prize to my application or something, which is obviously not happening. Time to forget about Columbia? Thoughts?

Re: Columbia c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
WL at CLS is a soft rejection because people rarely get off. But I will probably still send a LOCI once I get WLed so I can't really tell you not to.....gravityrides0 wrote:Do you guys think it is pointless to send in a LOCI if waitlisted with sub-par stats? I think after months of waiting, at least in my case, I have finally become apathetic. It took a while, I have to say.FryBreadPower wrote:Why so quiet???

For those who received a grade request and were later accepted, about how long was the turnaround? I was just curious so that I know when to realistically resume my VCE neurosis. Thanks!

Holds are by email only apparently. Can anybody tell me my chances of getting in after being held? I'm going to start my loci now...

"2) Hold – If you find yourself in our Hold category, it simply means that your application is currently under active consideration, and you will be notified by the end of April on a further decision of admittance, denial, or a move to the Reserve group."

When is the first deposit due for CLS? When are "reserve group" people sending in their LOCI?
